Job DescriptionJob Title: Manufacturing Production Manager Job Description The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production of power quality hardware. This role involves managing production teams, optimizing workflow, ensuring regulatory compliance, and leading initiatives for continuous improvement to support on-time delivery and operational excellence. Responsibilities • Lead day-to-day manufacturing operations across production, assembly, and shipping., • Develop and manage production schedules aligned with demand forecasts and capacity., • Oversee execution of manufacturing orders with clear communication and effective workforce performance., • Monitor work-in-progress, takt time, throughput, and bottlenecks to maintain efficient flow., • Support operations on the production floor as needed., • Review production, operational, and non-compliance reports to resolve issues and minimize delays and costs., • Support Just-In-Time (JIT) manufacturing practices to reduce waste., • Ensure compliance with OSHA, electrical safety protocols, and company standards., • Maintain adherence to ISO 9001, GMP, and other regulated manufacturing requirements., • Ensure accuracy and completion of documentation, including travelers, QC checklists, and audit materials., • Partner with Quality to address nonconformances, root-cause issues, and corrective actions., • Conduct training aligned with SOPs, quality standards, and operational best practices., • Implement KPIs and dashboards to track production performance and drive accountability., • Identify opportunities to improve labor and machine efficiency while reducing waste and cycle time., • Collaborate cross-functionally to enhance product quality and operational throughput., • Work closely with Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, Inside Sales, Warehouse, and Shipping for material availability and accurate reconciliation., • Communicate production status, risks, and priorities to leadership and stakeholders., • Manage, coach, and develop production leads, assemblers, and technicians., • Maintain staffing levels, coordinate schedules, and support onboarding and training., • Foster a culture of safety, accountability, respect, and continuous improvement., • Promote open, transparent, and two-way communication across the organization.Essential Skills, • 5+ years of experience managing small to mid-sized manufacturing teams., • 3-5 years of experience in electronics or electromechanical assembly environments., • Strong knowledge of electrical safety, OSHA regulations, and safe manufacturing practices., • Experience with ISO 9001 certification, audits, and regulated manufacturing environments., • Hands-on experience with electromechanical assembly, soldering, machining, and facilities operations., • Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems, production metrics, and operational KPIs., • Strong communication, leadership, coaching, and problem-solving skills., • Understanding of project management principles and operational financials.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Trained in 5S and familiar with Lean methodologies., • Experience from a semiconductors industry preferred.Why Work Here? Work Environment The role is based onsite in Alameda, working with a small production team. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Alameda, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $120000.00/yr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
