Job Description NETWORK ENGINEER JOB DESCRIPTION JOB SUMMARY The Network Engineer is responsible for designing, deploying, managing, and maintaining network systems that support ITS infrastructure—this includes traffic control systems, communications (fiber, wireless, etc.), CCTV, sensors, data backhaul, field device connectivity, and monitoring. The Network Engineer ensures high availability, reliability, security, and performance of networked systems, while working closely with field teams, civil/electrical engineers, vendor partners, DOTs, municipalities, utility providers, and/or telecom carriers.
