Job Description Family Law Paralegal (High-Level Case Management Role) This Is Not a Basic Support Role — It’s a High-Level Case Management Role EXPERIENCED Family Law Paralegal to work on site in Miami Lakes Costa & Associates is a boutique, growing law firm in Miami Lakes seeking a high-level family law paralegal who can independently manage the day-to-day progression of cases from start to finish under attorney supervision. The firm is focused on family law and transactional real estate matters only. We are building a team to grow with us and create a long-term working relationship. Be part of the case management workflow creation and modifications., • Growth Opportunity – As the firm grows, this role can expand into senior/lead paralegal responsibilities, • Direct Impact – Your work directly affects client experience and case outcomes, • Stable, Professional Environment –Clear expectations, and a team that values accountability and consistency Compensation & Benefits • Base Salary: $70,000 – $99,000 yearly (based on experience and capability), • Performance Bonuses: Based on effectiveness, organization, and overall contribution, • Paid Time Off: After 120 days, • 8 paid firm holidays Responsibilities: What You’ll Do • Manage the day-to-day progression of a caseload of Florida family law matters under attorney supervision (divorce, paternity, support, modifications, enforcement), • Track and ensure all deadlines, filings, disclosures, and hearings are met, • Draft and finalize family law pleadings, motions, parenting plans, and settlement agreements for attorney review, • Analyze and reconcile financial documents (bank statements, tax returns, paystubs, etc.) against financial affidavits, • Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and courts as appropriate, • Maintain highly organized, complete, and court-ready files, • Anticipate needs, identify issues, and proactively keep matters moving forward, • Find solutions and propose options, • Communicate with the Family Law team to ensure clients are informed, updated, and served Work Environment • Full-time, in-person role in Miami Lakes, Florida, • Monday-Thursday: 8:45am - 5:45pm & 5pm Fridays, • Proven experience handling Florida family law cases with a high level of independence, • Strong knowledge of Florida family law procedures, filings, and court systems, • Exceptional attention to detail and organization, • Ability to work with minimal oversight while maintaining strong communication with attorneys, co-workers, and clients, • Professional judgment, initiative, and follow-through, • Bilingual (English/Spanish) Preferred Who Thrives Here This role is ideal for someone who: • Takes pride in running highly organized, efficient files, • Is proactive and solutions-oriented, • Gets satisfaction from helping clients in difficult situations with steadiness and calm, • Wants to be part of a growing firm—not lost in a large one, • Values accountability, professionalism, and consistency Costa & Associates, P.A. is an established law firm based in Miami Lakes serving clients throughout Florida.
