Only candidates with US Work Authorization will be considered. \n \n Job Summary \n The Mortgage Services Team Leader is responsible for the daily oversight and execution of residential and commercial real estate loan operations, including pre-funding review, loan funding, new loan setup, post-closing document review, and tracking of post-closing conditions. This position serves as the subject matter expert for real estate loan servicing and administration, ensuring that all transactions are processed accurately, timely, and in compliance with Bank policy, approved credit terms, loan documentation requirements, and applicable regulatory requirements. \n The Team Leader supervises a staff of five employees, providing daily direction, training, quality control oversight, and operational support. The position actively participates in complex transactions, resolves issues, identifies process improvements, and ensures adherence to FDIC regulations and applicable federal consumer and real estate lending laws. Familiarity with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac requirements is highly desirable. \n \n Primary Responsibilities \n \n Operational Leadership \n\n • Direct and oversee the daily activities of a team of five Mortgage Services professionals responsible for real estate loan funding, boarding, servicing support, and post-closing administration.\n, • Provide expert guidance, training, and operational direction to staff on residential and commercial real estate loan transactions.\n, • Establish daily priorities and ensure critical deadlines are met while maintaining service level expectations.\n, • Review staff work for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established procedures and regulatory requirements.\n, • Assist with workload balancing and serve as escalation point for complex loan administration issues.\n\n \n Pre-Funding Review and Loan Funding \n\n • Perform and oversee comprehensive pre-funding reviews of residential and commercial real estate loan transactions.\n, • Validate that all conditions precedent to funding have been satisfied and properly documented.\n, • Ensure loan documentation complies with approved credit terms, commitment letters, loan approvals, and closing instructions.\n, • Review closing packages for completeness, accuracy, proper execution, and required approvals prior to loan funding.\n, • Approve and coordinate loan disbursements in accordance with bank policies, segregation of duties requirements, and regulatory expectations.\n, • Work closely with Credit Administration, Legal, Relationship Managers, Closing Agents, and other business units to resolve funding exceptions.\n\n \n New Loan Setup and Loan Boarding \n\n • Oversee and perform loan boarding and new loan setup activities within the Bank's loan systems.\n, • Verify accuracy of loan parameters, interest rates, payment schedules, escrow requirements, collateral information, loan classifications, billing instructions, and general ledger mappings.\n, • Review new loan setup data to ensure consistency with executed loan documents and approved credit structure.\n, • Research and resolve system, data integrity, and booking discrepancies.\n\n \n Post-Closing Review and Exception Management \n\n • Conduct and supervise post-closing reviews to verify receipt and completeness of all required loan documentation.\n, • Monitor and clear post-closing exceptions and outstanding conditions within established timeframes.\n, • Ensure proper recording, perfection, and retention of collateral and real estate-related documents.\n, • Coordinate with internal departments, attorneys, title companies, and third-party vendors to obtain missing or corrected documentation.\n, • Escalate significant exceptions, documentation deficiencies, and compliance concerns management.\n\n \n Regulatory Compliance and Quality Control \n\n • Maintain expert knowledge of federal banking regulations impacting real estate lending operations.\n, • Ensure compliance with applicable FDIC requirements, RESPA, TILA, Regulation Z, Flood Insurance Regulations, Fair Lending requirements, GLBA, and other applicable laws and regulations.\n, • Assist with internal audits, regulatory examinations, compliance reviews, and quality assurance initiatives.\n, • Identify operational risks, control weaknesses, and process improvement opportunities.\n, • Recommend procedural enhancements that improve accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.\n\n \n Operational Support and Administration \n\n • Provide support for complex customer, auditor, examiner, and internal business partner inquiries.\n, • Review and reconcile loan-related general ledger accounts and operational exceptions.\n, • Assist management with departmental projects, procedure development, system enhancements, and training initiatives.\n, • Prepare operational metrics and management reports as requested, with primary emphasis on supporting daily production and operational effectiveness.\n\n \n Qualifications \n \n Knowledge and Skills \n\n • Comprehensive knowledge of residential and commercial real estate loan funding, loan boarding, documentation review, and post-closing administration.\n, • Strong understanding of real estate lending documentation including notes, mortgages, security agreements, assignments, guarantees, title policies, and collateral perfection requirements.\n, • Extensive knowledge of FDIC regulations and federal banking requirements applicable to real estate lending operations.\n, • Working knowledge of RESPA, TILA, TRID, Flood Regulations, Fair Lending, GLBA, and related consumer and commercial lending regulations.\n, • Familiarity with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac servicing and documentation requirements preferred.\n, • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to identify documentation, operational, and compliance issues.\n, • Ability to supervise staff, delegate responsibilities, and manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment.\n, • Advanced proficiency with loan servicing and loan origination systems, Microsoft Office applications, and imaging/document management systems.\n\n \n Education and Experience \n\n • Minimum five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in real estate loan operations, loan servicing, loan administration, or mortgage operations.\n, • Minimum two (2) years supervisory or team leadership experience.\n, • Demonstrated experience with:\n, • Real estate loan funding\n, • Pre-funding quality control reviews\n, • Loan
