American Traveler is seeking a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist for a travel job in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: Interventional Radiology Technologist, • Discipline: Allied Health Professional, • Start Date: 02/23/2026, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 40 hours per week, • Shift: 10 hours, days, • Work in the Interventional Radiology department with a variety of interventional procedures, • Involves specialized procedures such as hybrid OR, adrenal angiography, aortography, TIPS, EVAR, TEVAR, embolization, angioplasty, stent placements, and many more, • Patient care includes a variety of interventional vascular and non-vascular cases, • Utilizes PACS system for imaging and requires ability to maintain and stock equipment and supplies, • Shift is 4x10 hour days, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, • On-call required after hours on weeknights (5:30 PM - 6:30 AM) and 24-hour call on weekends, rotated among technologists with minimum 2-hour call-back if activated, • No floating to other departments or sister facilities required, • Accommodates block scheduling Monday through Friday, • No local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radius, • Responsible for prepping cases, maintaining sterile fields, assisting with procedure-related tasks and inventory control, • Involved in advanced IR procedures such as chemoembolization, radioembolization, RFA, dialysis graft interventions, and more, • Works closely with physicians, nurses, and other technologists within a collaborative team environment, • Participation in rapid response and isolation precautions when required, • Modules and in-person orientation are required; some training modules occur annually, • Holiday coverage expected, with restrictions on requested time off around major holidays, • Former permanent employees may return as travelers only if they have been out of the system for 12 months or more, • RTO over 7 days requires management approval, • Travelers may work up to 12 consecutive months before a mandatory break between assignments\n \n Requirements\n, • Minimum 6 months of recent Interventional Radiology experience required, • Current ARRT(R), BLS, and New Mexico state license required (license required if applicable), • PACS experience required, • Must be proficient in a range of interventional procedures including but not limited to angiography, embolization, stent placement, and image-guided interventions, • COVID vaccination required; religious and medical exemptions accepted with proper documentation, • Must provide two recent supervisory professional references and a full 7-year work history, • No RQI certifications accepted, • Must have a non-local driver’s license or provide a written transportation plan, • Pending state license is accepted\n Benefits\n, • High Pay and Bonuses, • Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options, • 401(k) Plan, • Weekly Payroll Deposit, • Free Online CEUs, • Generous Housing Allowance, • Travel and Licensure Reimbursements, • Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy With thousands of travel nursing and allied jobs nationwide, our attentive and approachable recruiters find positions that align perfectly with your career aspirations and personal requirements.
