Position Summary The Project Manager provides overall leadership for one large construction project or multiple projects. This role is responsible for managing project quality, schedule, safety, and financial performance while mentoring and developing project team members. The Project Manager serves as a primary point of contact for owners and stakeholders and is expected to deliver exceptional customer service while driving successful project outcomes. Key ResponsibilitiesProject Financial Management • Oversee the overall financial health of assigned projects, • Develop and maintain project cost forecasts and equipment projections, • Allocate project estimates into the financial system, • Establish cost codes, approve invoices, and manage budgets, • Coordinate with Accounting to ensure timely billings and payments, • Prepare and submit monthly owner billingsSubcontractor and Supplier Management, • Manage subcontractor and supplier selection within project budgets, • Oversee contract administration, including buyouts and billing approvalsTeam Leadership and Development, • Lead, mentor, and develop Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers, • Assign responsibilities and manage career development plans, • Approve timecards for on-site team members, • Provide training, performance feedback, and conduct performance evaluationsOwner and Stakeholder Relations, • Serve as the primary point of contact for owners and on-site representatives, • Assist with the review and administration of owner agreements, • Address and resolve site concerns promptly, • Maintain frequent communication to foster strong relationships and future opportunitiesChange Management, • Identify and prepare change orders, • Submit and negotiate change orders with owners or representatives, • Obtain customer and/or architect approvals as requiredProject Oversight and Risk Management, • Maintain project schedules and budgets through completion, • Provide high-level oversight of quality, safety, risk, and compliance, • Apply proactive planning and sound judgment to support project success, • Lead dispute resolution efforts when necessaryLeadership and Collaboration, • Lead by example and promote effective teamwork, • Build productive relationships across diverse backgrounds and organizational levels, • Provide coaching, feedback, and performance management aligned with company expectationsQualificationsKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities, • Demonstrated ability to manage projects from development through closeout, • Experience managing multiple or complex construction projects, • Strong communication and active listening skills, • Ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders, • Willingness and ability to travel up to 100% as requiredEducation and Experience, • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related field — or equivalent experience, • Minimum of 2-8 years of construction management or related experience, • Valid driver’s licensePhysical Requirements, • Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience is preferred., • Project Manager I requires 2+ years as a PM., • Project Manager II requires 5+ years as a PM. The role is primarily onsite at project locations, with hours typically around 40-50 per week, depending on project demands. We offer a salaried position with per diem for those traveling to Tucson or Las Vegas, but not applicable for local employees. The upcoming and current projects include the Cardinals training facility, Honor Health, and Banner Ironwood in Phoenix; a student housing project in Tucson; and a hotel near the strip and existing Springhill Suites in Las Vegas. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Tempe, AZ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $115000.00 - $200000.00/yr. Parental Leave, 9 paid Holidays (MLK, Memorial Day, July 4th, July 5th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Black Friday, and Christmas Day), PTO (2 weeks accrued), Life Insurance (paid for by the company), Mental Health Benefits Workplace Type This is a fully onsite position in Tempe,AZ.
