One Royal Culture Short Story We have a current opening for a IT Infrastructure Manager for our office in Sacramento, CA. The IT Infrastructure Manager is responsible for the design, implementation, operation, and security of the organization’s core technology infrastructure. This includes on-premise and cloud systems, networks, servers, storage, identity platforms, collaboration tools, and end-user computing. The role ensures high availability, scalability, and performance of all infrastructure services. Success in the position is achieved through the following duties & responsibilities: Infrastructure Strategy & Architecture • Co-develop technology leadership and execute the infrastructure roadmap aligned with business strategy and growth objectives., • Design hybrid and cloud-native architecture (Azure, AWS, GCP) for computing, storage, networking, and identity., • Ensure high availability, performance, and resilience of networks, servers, storage, virtualization, and cloud services., • Manage incident, problem, and change management processes., • Partner with security teams to implement infrastructure security controls, including identity, endpoint protection, network segmentation, and logging., • Ensure compliance with relevant frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST, HIPAA, PCI, etc., as applicable)., • Lead migration and optimization of workloads to cloud platforms., • Manage Microsoft 365, identity platforms (Entra ID / Active Directory), endpoint management (Intune, SCCM), and collaboration tools., • Lead, mentor, and develop IT support staff., • Set performance goals, conduct reviews, and build technical capabilities across the team., • Own infrastructure budget, forecasting, and cost optimization., • Work with PMO to ensure accurate cost center data., • Maintain architecture diagrams, SOPs, policies, and technical documentation., • Establish infrastructure standards, configuration baselines, and governance frameworks., • Partner with the business for vendor onboarding, offboarding, and ongoing management., • Create, manage, negotiate and enforce contractual agreements such as NDAs, MSAs, RFPs, SLAs to ensure best value and delivery for our organization. Education & Experience: • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, or a related field or equivalent experience)., • 10+ years of IT infrastructure experience, with 3–5+ years in a leadership or management role., • Deep expertise in:, • Windows and Linux server environment, • Networking (LAN/WAN, VPN, firewalls, SD-WAN), • Virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V, KVM), • Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP), • Identity and access management (Active Directory, Entra ID, SSO, MFA), • Cloud certifications (Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Solutions Architect, etc.), • ITIL Foundation or higher, • Security certifications (CISSP, CCSP, Security+), • Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Bicep, CloudFormation), • Experience in regulated industries (construction, manufacturing, healthcare, finance, etc.) Required Skills & Abilities: Core Competencies: • Infrastructure, architecture and engineering leadership, • Incident and problem management, • Vendor and contract management, • Financial and capacity planning, • Team leadership and mentoring, • Strong communication with technical and executive stakeholders, • On-time, on-budget delivery of strategic initiatives, • Infrastructure transparency and predictability, • Improved project management maturity and consistency, • Strong executive confidence in delivery outcomes, • Measurable business value realization from projects The IT Infrastructure Manager ensures the foundational technology platform is secure, resilient, and scalable—directly enabling business operations, digital transformation, and cybersecurity posture.
