Job Description Company Overview: A well-established manufacturing company in Torrance is seeking a highly skilled Collections Specialist to join its finance team. This role is designed for professionals with a strong background in B2B collections, particularly those who have worked in enterprise-level environments such as big box retail, manufacturing, or e-commerce platforms. Experience with Amazon B2B collections is strongly preferred. Position Summary: The Collections Specialist will be responsible for managing a backlog of business-to-business receivables, driving resolution of outstanding balances, and contributing to process improvements across the collections function. This is a high-impact role requiring strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills. Key Responsibilities: Backlog Management: Prioritize and resolve aged receivables to reduce outstanding balances and improve cash flow. Collections Execution: Conduct proactive outreach to business clients, negotiate payment arrangements, and ensure timely resolution of accounts. Process Improvement: Identify operational bottlenecks and recommend enhancements to streamline collections workflows. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal departments including Sales, Customer Service, and Finance to resolve disputes and align on collection strategies. Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and analyze aging reports, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and present actionable insights to leadership. Required Qualifications: B2B collections experience in a corporate or enterprise setting. Demonstrated success managing collections for large business accounts. Strong proficiency in collections systems and ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite). Excel skills and experience with data analysis and reporting. Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Amazon B2B collections.
