We are seeking a hands-on, organized, and service-driven Kitchen Supervisor to support the daily operation of our corporate venue kitchen. This role is responsible for helping lead kitchen staff, ensuring the consistent preparation and presentation of high-quality food for meetings, events, and daily food service, while upholding the highest standards of food safety, cleanliness, and compliance. Working closely with the General Manager, the Kitchen Supervisor will help coordinate kitchen workflow, monitor quality and portion control, support inventory and labor management, and foster a professional, efficient, and hospitality-focused environment that delivers an exceptional guest experience. Responsibilities Kitchen Operations • Supervise and actively participate in the preparation and execution of breakfast and lunch service, as well as additional food services requested by the client., • Ensure efficient kitchen operations by overseeing food preparation, plating, cleaning, and end-of-service breakdown procedures., • Support the café team with food preparation, production, and catering execution to ensure seamless daily service and event support., • Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen environment while ensuring full compliance with New York Department of Health (DOH) food safety regulations and company standards., • Oversee daily food service operations within a corporate office setting, including ordering supplies, receiving deliveries, and maintaining accurate inventory levels., • Collaborate with on-site teams to ensure strong coordination and maintain exceptional food and service quality., • Prior supervisory experience in a food and beverage or hospitality environment preferred., • Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures., • Familiarity with inventory management systems such as CaterExpert is a plus., • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities., • Strong leadership, teamwork, and collaboration skills., • Excellent organizational and inventory management abilities., • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to maintaining high-quality food preparation and presentation standards., • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, up to 8 hours per shift., • Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 30 pounds as needed. Base salary: $29.00/hour Benefits: PTO, 401(k), medical, dental, and vision insurance, transit benefits, safe and sick time, and FSA (Flexible Spending Account).
