Job DescriptionJob Title: General Laborer Job Description The General Laborer supports warehouse operations by safely moving, tracking, and handling materials, accurately completing documentation, and ensuring all freight is properly loaded, unloaded, and prepared for shipment. This role involves operating warehouse equipment, maintaining organized inventory, and contributing to an efficient, safety-focused work environment. Responsibilities • Move materials throughout the warehouse in a safe, efficient, and organized manner., • Track materials within the warehouse, including tagging items, documenting weight and dimensions, and maintaining accurate inventory records., • Accurately complete all required paperwork and documentation related to shipping, receiving, and inventory., • Sort and segregate all distributions accurately to ensure proper handling and routing of materials., • Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts while following all safety procedures and protocols., • Load and unload freight from trucks, vans, and other transportation vehicles, ensuring paperwork matches the materials being loaded or unloaded., • Perform quality checks on products and freight to identify and report potential damage., • Document and update disposal data to ensure all use of dumpsters and waste handling is properly captured., • Pick and pack materials and freight in a timely, accurate, and orderly manner to meet operational deadlines., • Support general warehouse activities including labeling, shipping and receiving, and maintaining clean and organized work areas.Essential Skills, • Ability to operate warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks and forklifts., • Experience with general labor tasks in a warehouse or similar environment., • Ability to use RF scanners for order picking and inventory tracking., • Proficiency in order picking, material handling, and warehouse packing., • Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes and procedures., • Ability to accurately label, pick, pack, and manage warehouse inventory., • Strong attention to detail for completing paperwork and verifying freight against documentation., • Commitment to following safety procedures and protocols while operating equipment and handling materials.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Experience working with warehouse inventory systems and RF scanning devices., • Familiarity with documenting weights, dimensions, and disposal data for materials., • Ability to perform quality control checks on incoming and outgoing freight., • Strong organizational skills for sorting and segregating distributions., • Reliability and punctuality in meeting daily operational requirements., • Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members and supervisors.Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Piscataway, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.50 - $21.50/hr.
