Job Description Independently Licensed Therapist (LCSW, LPC, LMFT)-Hybrid, Part-Time The independently licensed therapist (LCSW, LPC, LMFT) will provide counseling services to individuals and groups to promote optimum mental health to both pediatric and adult clients. The Counselor will support individuals with thoughts of suicide, addictions and substance abuse, family, parenting, and marital problems, stress management, problems with self-esteem, and issues associated with aging and mental and emotional health. This position is hybrid and will have remote and in-person sessions at our Tempe office. The applicant should reside in and be licensed in the state of Arizona. Duties/Responsibilities: • Provides intake and assessment for clients and families, child/family team (CFT) facilitation, discharge planning and coordination with other agencies., • Acts as therapist to clients and patients, individually and in group sessions, to assist in overcoming dependencies, adjusting to life, and making changes., • Fosters solution/strengths based interventions., • Assist in addressing the client and family's ongoing needs using clinical best practice approaches to engage in formal and informal resources for clients, including transition, discharge and aftercare plans of behavioral health services., • Prepares required reports, incident reports, DCS reports, performance audits, and other reporting obligations that arise to maintain compliance and provide clinical oversight for the coordination of behavioral health services with other agencies such as DCS, DDD, ALTCS, schools and other providers., • Guides clients in the development of skills and strategies to deal with their problems. Encourages clients to express their feelings and to discuss what is happening in their lives and helps them develop insight into themselves and their relationships., • Collects information about clients through interviews, observations, and tests. Prepares and maintains treatment records and reports., • Maintain the mental health clinical records in accordance with all local, state and federal laws and agency policy and procedures., • Documents and submits significant and routine paperwork such as progress notes, treatment plans, varied incident reports, etc., as required by the program and submits to appropriate personnel., • Knowledge of human behavior, mental health, and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; learning and motivation; psychological research methods; and the assessment and treatment of behavioral and affective disorders., • Knowledge of principles, methods, and procedures for diagnosis, treatment, and psychological rehabilitation for individuals with mental health or behavioral health disorders or challenges., • Knowledge of group behavior and dynamics, societal trends and influences, human migrations, ethnicity, and cultures and their history and origins., • Master's degree in psychology, counseling, social work or a related field required and/or Ph.D. required, • Licensed by the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners as a social worker (LCSW), professional counselor (LPC), or marriage and family therapist (LMFT)., • Experience working as a mental health therapist with children, teens, adults, couples, and families who have a wide range of emotional and behavioral challenges, • Experience providing clinical services remotely, • Experience supervising other counselors/clinicians, • Part-time, 15-20 hours per week, • Flexible scheduling, • Flexible schedule, • Paid time off, • Professional development assistance
