Note: Candidates must be licensed and in good standing with the California Bar and have at least 2+ years of insurance coverage or insurance bad faith litigation experience. Job Description • Draft and respond to pleadings, discovery, and dispositive motions in state and federal court., • Analyze insurance policies, claims files, and adjuster conduct to identify bad faith exposure., • Conduct and defend depositions involving insureds, adjusters, underwriters, and expert witnesses., • Participate in hearings, mediations, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation., • Research and analyze California insurance law and coverage issues., • Collaborate with attorneys, experts, and litigation support professionals to develop case strategy., • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and co-counsel., • Manage deadlines and multiple active litigation matters in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications • Active California Bar license in good standing., • 2+ years of insurance coverage or insurance bad faith litigation experience., • Strong knowledge of California insurance law., • Familiarity with the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure and California Code of Civil Procedure., • Experience handling first-party and/or third-party insurance claims and coverage analysis., • Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills., • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative litigation team.
