Key Responsibilities • Manage all aspects of insurance defense litigation from case inception to verdict, including initial case assessment, discovery, depositions, motion practice, pre-trial negotiations, courtroom advocacy, and post-trial motions to ensure favorable outcomes for clients., • Gather and organize documents, evidence, and legal research for cases, including preparation for hearings, trials, arbitrations, mediations, and depositions., • Conduct legal research on relevant laws, regulations, and case precedents; prepare summaries and reports., • Prepare and draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and other legal documents., • Interview clients and witnesses, as well as drafting summaries of their statements and maintaining communication records., • Attend court hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings to observe and assist as needed; may represent the company or clients in routine matters., • Monitor changes in laws and regulations, and assist in updating the legal team on potential impacts to ongoing cases., • Participate in training sessions and mentorship programs to develop legal skills and gain exposure to more complex legal work. Education • Juris Doctorate and active membership in good standing with the New York State Bar.
