Job DescriptionSenior Loan Servicing Specialist Location: Sacramento, CA Position Overview The Senior Loan Servicing Specialist supports loan operations by handling complex loan servicing activities, including loan boarding, funding, maintenance, and reconciliation. This role is responsible for ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across the full loan lifecycle, with a primary focus on commercial loan portfolios and operational processing. Responsibilities • Board loans into the core system, ensuring accuracy of loan data, terms, and structure, • Review executed loan documentation to confirm completeness, accuracy, and compliance, • Verify funding conditions are met and process loan funding, advances, payoffs, and wire transactions, • Validate loan details including rates, terms, maturity dates, and payment schedules, • Set up loan structures including escrow, interest reserves, participations, syndications, and fee arrangements, • Manage post-closing loan servicing, including payments, modifications, escrows, and account maintenance, • Process routine maintenance requests such as borrower updates, autopay setup, and statement configurations, • Respond to internal and external inquiries related to loan servicing, • Perform financial calculations on complex loan structures, including large balances and payoff scenarios, • Support balancing and reconciliation activities, including general ledger validation and system data consistency, • Investigate and resolve discrepancies, variances, and system-related errors, • Assist with workflow coordination, escalations, and operational improvements, • Perform callback verifications in accordance with internal controls and dual-control requirements, • Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory standards, and consumer protection guidelines (including UDAAP), • Support audits and maintain accuracy of loan documentation and records, • Maintain and update loan data within core banking systems and related platforms, • Support system updates, conversions, and enhancements, • Cross-train in servicing functions to ensure operational coverageQualifications, • Minimum of 5 years of experience in loan operations, servicing, boarding, or funding within a financial institution, • Experience with consumer, commercial, and/or mortgage lending products across the full loan lifecycle, • Strong understanding of loan documentation, funding processes, and complex loan structures (including participations, syndications, or SBA programs), • Proficiency in core banking systems and Microsoft Office applications, • Strong data entry accuracy and system navigation skills, • Knowledge of accounting principles and regulatory requirements (including GAAP/FASB91 and investor guidelines), • Ability to identify discrepancies, ensure compliance, and maintain data integrity Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and 401K plan.
