Job Description The Business Systems Analyst (BSA) is a hands-on technical role responsible for the configuration, optimization, testing, and data analysis of Blue Yonder Warehouse Management System (WMS) in a multi-warehouse 3PL environment. This position acts as the technical bridge between warehouse operations, IT, external vendors and external customers ensuring that system behavior aligns with operational workflows, capacity constraints, and customer requirements. The role requires deep functional knowledge of WMS processes, direct system configuration experience, and strong SQL writing skills to support reporting, data validation, audits, and operational decision-making. Core Technical Responsibilities Blue Yonder WMS Configuration & Support • Configure and maintain Blue Yonder WMS functionality, including:, • Inbound receiving (ASNs, receipts, putaway logic), • Outbound fulfillment (orders, waves, allocations, picking/packing), • Inventory control (locations, capacity, UOMs, adjustments), • Direct putaway rules, slotting logic, and capacity constraints, • Billing-related data capture and operational metrics, • Analyze warehouse workflows and translate requirements into system configurations, not just documentation., • Support multi-facility standardization while managing site-specific exceptions., • Perform detailed process and system analysis for inbound, outbound, inventory, billing, and value-added services., • Produce technical documentation including:, • Functional and technical requirements, • System behavior definitions, • Configuration change logs, • Data mappings and process flows, • Conduct gap analysis between operational requirements and Blue Yonder capabilities, proposing system-based solutions. Page 1 of 3 Page Break Testing, Validation & Deployment • Design and execute:, • Unit testing, • Integration testing, • User Acceptance Testing (UAT), • Build test scenarios tied directly to warehouse workflows and edge cases., • Validate system behavior using real transaction data and SQL queries., • Coordinate deployments and ensure production readiness., • Write advanced SQL queries to:, • Extract and validate operational data from Blue Yonder, • Audit inbound/outbound volumes, inventory balances, UOMs, and customer activity, • Support operational, finance, and executive reporting, • Perform data validation between WMS, upstream/downstream systems, and customer-provided data., • Support automated reporting and dashboards by ensuring data accuracy and consistency., • Support WMS integrations with:, • EDI platforms (inbound/outbound transactions), • TMS, YMS, and billing systems, • Review interface behavior, data mappings, and error handling., • Act as Tier 2 / Tier 3 support for WMS-related issues., • Troubleshoot system behavior using logs, data analysis, and configuration review., • Train power users and operations teams on system functionality and process changes., • Serve as a Blue Yonder subject matter expert (SME) for continuous improvement initiatives.Required Technical Qualifications, • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Supply Chain, Logistics, or equivalent experience., • 3–5+ years of hands-on WMS experience, preferably Blue Yonder., • Advanced WMS configuration experience (not end-user only)., • Strong SQL writing skills, including:, • Complex joins, • Aggregations, • Data validation queries, • Experience supporting multi-facility warehouse operations.Page Break, • Proven experience with testing methodologies (unit, integration, UAT)., • Strong understanding of warehouse operations, including:, • Receiving & putaway, • Picking, packing, shipping, • Inventory accuracy & capacity management, • Exposure to EDI (940/945/944/943, etc.), • Familiarity with BI/reporting platforms (Power BI, Cognos, Tableau, Toolbox), • Experience working with IT change management and release processes Benefits: The company offers medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as basic and voluntary life and voluntary ancillary coverages for accident, critical illness and hospital indemnity.
