We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join Blank Street's US Accounting function. As Staff Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of Blank Street and supporting our Field and HQ teams. You will be responsible for a range of accounting functions including preparing monthly journal entries, supporting accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and accounting principles. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for contributing to a growing company. This role is an in-person position at our office in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The Staff Accountant will report into the Global Accounting Manager. What You'll Own • Support the month-end close process, prepare journal entries, utilize accounting software to draft and finalize financial statements., • Support day-to-day accounting operations including processing invoices, tracking payments, and reconciling accounts. Ensure timely and accurate payments to vendors and proper recording of receivables., • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including bank and credit card reconciliations. Post journal entries and adjustments as needed., • Assist with payroll processing, including verifying timesheets and ensuring accuracy of payroll deductions and benefits., • Support in the preparation of all tax filings; including, but not limited to income tax forms, sales tax, 1099s, and payroll taxes., • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and ensuring compliance with accounting policies and procedures., • Work with leadership to prepare ad hoc reports and analyses as needed. Who We're Looking For • A friendly and enthusiastic team player with a passion for excellent customer service; you're always ready to make your customers' day, • A reliable employee who is able to effectively manage time and priorities, including during busy rush periods where a sense of urgency is necessary, • Passionate about creating delicious coffee, matcha, and other cafe beverages, • A strong independent problem solver with proven multi-tasking and communication skills, • Someone who is curious, adaptable and always willing to learn, • Comfortable working in a team or independently, • Comfortable with cash-handling and maintaining store safety What You'll Own • Delight our customers with consistent, welcoming and engaging customer service, taking the opportunity to turn every customer into a regular, • Work within a world-class coffee program using the best coffee equipment and product in the industry to prepare the tastiest drinks, • Complete all training to ensure proper measures are in place to achieve the correct handling of food and beverage to retain its freshness and quality, • Have systems in place to avoid wastage of product with both food and beverage, following and adjusting par levels where needed in line with business peaks and lows, • Maintain Local Department of Health standards at all times, • Full and complete knowledge and adherence to all product, service and brand training playbooks, • Participate in all initiatives with the Operations and Marketing teams to increase foot traffic, new customers, daily sales, and operational profitability and develop a loyal neighborhood customer base Requirements • 1+ years' experience in a customer service position, preferably in hospitality or coffee, • 18+ years of age, • Able to lift 25+ lbs, and to stand for long periods of time, • Availability that meets the needs of our cafes, • You must be authorized to work in the U.S.: upon acceptance of a job offer and completion of the Form I-9 with acceptable documents, Blank Street will provide the federal government with employees' Form I-9 information to confirm authorization to work in the U.S. (a process known as "E-Verify") Benefits \& Perks • $17.00-$18.00/hour plus tips, • A comprehensive Barista accreditation and training program, • Tenure based paid time off, • Commuter benefits, • Sick time, • 1.5x pay on select holidays like New Year's Day, Memorial Day, and Juneteenth, • Complimentary coffee and treats on shift, • Free Blank Street swag

As Blank Street scales, we need someone who can own not just how our content looks, but what it stands for. As our Head of Social, you will define the creative POV across our social channels and ensure that what we publish builds long-term brand equity, not just short-term noise. Reporting into our Global Creative Director, you'll partner closely with US UK Marketing to shape a cohesive, scalable content system that reflects who we are as a brand, and protect that standard as we grow. What You'll Own • Define and evolve the creative POV across all social platforms., • Build a clear content framework that balances brand storytelling, product education, and campaign support., • Lead and develop members of the content team, raising the bar for craft and clarity., • Partner cross-functionally with Marketing to translate campaign goals into brand-led executions., • Establish a scalable visual and editorial system that can grow with the business., • Own insights and reporting in partnership with Marketing, using data to inform creative decisions without diluting brand integrity. Requirements • 8--10+ years in creative, brand, or social leadership roles., • Clear ownership of a social channel or brand ecosystem., • Experience managing and developing creative talent., • Portfolio demonstrating both aesthetic strength and strategic thinking.
