Job Description Administrative Assistant Position Objective To provide high-level, confidential administrative support to the Assistant Vice President of the Polyolefins Division. This role serves as a strategic partner and primary point of contact, ensuring the AVP’s time is optimized through rigorous schedule management, communication filtering, and proactive project leadership. Major Areas of Accountability • Strategic Calendar Management: Lead the organization of complex daily/weekly schedules, including meetings, appointments, and long-term planning., • Executive Communication: Act as the primary gatekeeper for emails and calls; draft high-level internal and external correspondence on behalf of the AVP., • Logistics & Travel: End-to-end coordination of domestic and international travel, including itineraries, transportation, and hotel accommodations., • Operational Support: Oversee office management tasks, including expense reporting, filing systems, and supply management for the executive office., • Meeting & Information Management: Facilitate executive meetings by preparing agendas, taking minutes, and managing highly sensitive, confidential information. Qualifications • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or Associate Degree with equivalent professional experience., • Prior experience supporting C-suite or Senior Management, preferably in a manufacturing or chemical industry environment., • Expert proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)., • Advanced experience with travel booking platforms and expense management software (e.g., Concur)., • Exceptional shorthand or fast-typing skills for meeting minutes in addition to using any AI tools to assist, • Ability to manage digital filing systems and document version control., • Experience with virtual meeting platforms (e.g. Zoom)., • Familiarity with project management tools, Wrike preferred.Company DescriptionFounded in 1978, Formosa Plastics Corporation, U.S.A.
