Job DescriptionDescriptionThe Systems Engineer at Allied Maker plays a critical role in building, maintaining, and improving the digital infrastructure that powers our handcrafted lighting manufacturing operation. This position sits at the intersection of engineering, production, operations, and technology - ensuring that every system supporting our workflow is efficient, accurate, scalable, and aligned with how we actually build our products. You will serve as the key member of our ERP, CPQ, and MRP platforms and work closely with cross-functional teams to implement new processes, manage product data, improve tooling, and support the rollout of new technologies. This role requires deep systems thinking, strong technical ability, and a passion for creating processes that enable world-class craftsmanship. The Systems Engineer is essential to Allied Maker’s growth. As our product lines expand and our production capabilities evolve, you will help shape the digital backbone that keeps our studio operating smoothly. Key Responsibilities • Analyze current workflows across departments and design improvements that reduce friction and increase efficiency., • Create and maintain documentation for processes, system logic, and integrations., • Manage and improve core NetSuite workflows, including Order to Cash, Procurement, Inventory, Manufacturing, and Reporting., • Build and maintain custom records, workflows, saved searches, dashboards, and system logic., • Ensure accurate data structures for items, BOMs, assemblies, and manufacturing routes., • Oversee product configuration logic, dynamic pricing, and rulesets., • Ensure accurate integration between CPQ, NetSuite, and production requirements., • Update configurations as new products and manufacturing capabilities are introduced.Engineering Data & Product Record Maintenance, • Collaborate with Engineering to create and maintain accurate product records, specifications, and bills of materials., • Manage engineering change implementation across all affected systems., • Support Purchasing with Demand Driven MRP (Replenishment+) configuration, data accuracy, and replenishment logic., • Maintain lead times, buffer profiles, and supply chain parameters., • Manage integrations between ERP, CPQ, MRP, website data, and internal systems., • Drive automation initiatives that reduce manual work and improve data flow., • Identify, evaluate, and implement new tools to support scaling operations., • Provide direct system support to team members across the studio and production., • 3+ years of experience in systems engineering, operations systems, or ERP administration., • Strong proficiency with NetSuite (workflows, customizations, reporting, data structures)., • Experience working with CPQ, WMS, MRP, or similar manufacturing tools., • Understanding of manufacturing processes, engineering data, and product lifecycle management., • Ability to create functional workflows, map systems, and implement logical rule-based structures., • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to deconstruct complex operational challenges., • Comfort with data analysis and structured documentation., • Ability to translate real-world manufacturing steps into accurate digital workflows., • Excellent communication - able to collaborate with Engineering, Production, Purchasing, and Leadership., • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail., • Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and prioritize effectively., • Competitive salary range between $80,000 and $100,000 based on experience, skills, and impact., • Health, dental, and vision insurance, • Paid time off and company holidays, • 401(k) retirement plan
