U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance Security Clearance: DoD Clearance: Secret Raytheon Company, Managed by Collins Aerospace The Multi-Domain Assured Navigation & Timing Applications (MANTA) group within the Mission Critical Products organization is currently hiring a Lead Systems Engineer to join our San Diego, CA-based Maritime PNT organization in support of the Global Positioning System (GPS)-Based Positioning, Navigation and Timing Service (GPNTS) program. The Maritime PNT organization is an exciting and challenging environment where you will have the opportunity to collaborate across disciplines to shape innovative solutions for our US Navy customer. GPNTS is the next generation real time GPS-based PNT data fusion and distribution system for Navy surface platforms. GPNTS integrates signals from navigation-related sensors and provides users with a reliable and accurate blended navigation solution. A variant of this system is the GPNTS Hull Optimized System Tactical (GHOST), which will be integrated into Modular Attack Surface Craft (MASC) platforms as part of a new initiative for the GPNTS program. The Lead Systems Engineer will perform a significant role in this new initiative: a technical leadership role for a team executing across the full development life cycle, including requirements development, system design, software/hardware integration, qualification/certification, and production transition. The Lead Systems Engineer will help establish and maintain relationships with the customer community, and will coordinate with program leadership on long term strategy and planning. What You Will Do: \n • Serve as the primary technology and systems engineering focal point driving Systems Engineering practices across multiple teams\n, • Communicate to the MASC Integrated Product Team Lead (IPTL), Chief Engineer (CE), and Program leadership to provide team status, accomplishments, issues, and help needed\n, • Develop system and subsystem requirements for complex systems by collaborating with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to obtain necessary information for design, integration, and troubleshooting, leading to a successful Systems Requirements Review (SRR)\n, • Lead technical discussions and formulate plans of action by leveraging company SMEs across engineering disciplines\n, • Prepare presentations and brief customers during program design reviews and other meetings\n\n Qualifications You Must Have: \n • Typically requires: Bachelor's degree (typically in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations \n, • Experience with the entire systems engineering lifecycle, including requirements definition, analysis, decomposition, systems integration, verification, and validation\n, • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued secret clearance is required. The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
