Job Description About the Role The Surgery RN plays a vital role in supporting patients through their fertility journey by delivering exceptional care in the surgical suite. This position is ideal for compassionate, detail-oriented individuals who excel in fast-paced environments and want to make a meaningful difference. As a Surgery RN, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide pre-, intra-, and post-operative care while ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and comfort. We are seeking a Surgery RN to join our dedicated team at Seattle Reproductive Medicine in Spokane, WA. This is a full-time, onsite role with a regular schedule of Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM, with flexibility required during two “batch weeks” each month to start between 6:30–6:45 AM while maintaining an 8-hour shift. In addition, weekend coverage is rotated, requiring one weekend commitment per month, with shifts lasting roughly four hours and typically ending by 12:00 PM. Key Responsibilities • Prepare patients for procedures, perform preoperative assessment, give discharge instructions, and start IV., • Recover patients after general anesthesia and monitored anesthesia care. Reinforce discharge instructions., • Provide transabdominal ultrasound guidance for embryo transfers, • Deliver direct patient care during pre-, intra-, and post-operative phases in the surgical suite., • Accurately document patient care and procedures in the electronic medical record (EMR)., • Clearly communicate post-operative instructions to patients and families., • Oversee surgical suite operations, ensuring cleanliness, sterility, and equipment functionality., • Adhere to and enforce aseptic techniques, quality control measures, and safety standards., • Initiate emergency protocols as needed and coordinate equipment repairs., • Mentor new staff and provide updates on any protocol changes., • Support organizational policies and contribute to process improvements., • Collaborate with the Surgery Manager to assess equipment and supply needs., • Monitor patient conditions and communicate changes to the surgical team., • Education & Licensure:, • Completion of an accredited nursing program (Associate’s Degree in Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing)., • Active RN license issued by the Washington State Board of Nursing., • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required., • Experience:, • Minimum of 2-3 years' experience as a Circulating Nurse in the OR, surgical experience a plus., • Skills:, • Strong communication and interpersonal skills., • Ability to work in a diverse and fast-paced environment., • Hourly Rate: $40.00-$50.00 per hour (final offers based on experience, skills, and qualifications).
