Experience: • 24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months., • Must have at least 24 months of Telemetry Float Pool experience within the past 6 months., • 3 months of experience with Cerner is preferred from any number of months. Requirements: • Candidates must have a Arizona license or compact license (required for submission)., • This role may require floating to additional units and locations, • Travel only, local not allowed. Required Skills/Experience: Must be able to titrate cardiac drips! Required Credentials: Travelers will need to pass a dysrhythmia exam Prior to signing contract (2 max attempts), within 48 hours of offer. If traveler fails, they will be sent home and made a DNU for 6 months for CSH AZ and CSH Sac regions. There is also a pass/fail Sim Lab on day one of orientation. If traveler fails Sim, they will be sent home and made a DNU for 6 mos. Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit: Common diagnosis / Types of patients: Post cath lab, post vascular procedures, day 2 CABG patients, general tele. Amio, Cardene, Nitro, Heparin, Dobutamine to titrate down ONLY. No pediatrics, 15 y/o and older. Types of Patients on Unit: Equipment Used on Unit: Technology Used on Unit: Unit/Facility Details: # beds :32 bed. Special Requests: No block scheduling. Shift & Scheduling: 4 weekend shifts per sched (Sat/Sun). Must work 2 of 3 major holidays. Every other weekend. Floating Requirements: First to float. To similar or lower acuity. Will float between all Tele and MedSurg units. Depending on skill level, nurses will float to ICU, Cardiac Tele, as well as all Tele units, MedSurg, any & every holding area (this could be in the Cath Lab, ER, observation floor, even a hallway) They staff the observation floor 1st, then the other units. Floating would include between Chandler & Mercy Gilbert campuses. Notification of campus and unit given 1.5 hrs prior to shift start. Floating to different units mid-shift can happen. Rare to float to another campus within a single shift, but possible. The distance between the 2 campuses is 9 miles. Depending on traffic takes 15 minutes. All interstate. Must clock-out when leaving one campus then clock-in when arrive at the other campus. ER float positions will require floating between different ER satellite locations in the area. A home base facility will try to be established, however this may not be the facility the clinician is regularly at. A schedule will be made in advance, so clinicians is aware of what location they’ll be reporting to. Tele B3A - Unit: CV Tele B3A - # beds :32 bed - Certs: BLS, ACLS - Ratios: 1:3-4 - Charge Nurse: Yes, no patient assignment. Also have a Clinical Supervisor in a management role. - Techs: PCTs - 1 per every 16 patients. - Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend. - Scrub Color: Navy - Tele: Centralized tele. RNs must be able to interpret EKGs. - Vents: No - Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: Hospitalist rounds during the day and on call at night. - IV Team: No - RT 24/7: Yes - Pharmacy 24/7: Yes - Shifts: 12 hr shifts. 7-7. - Floating: To similar or lower acuity. - Floor specific orientation: 2 days on the floor. - Common diagnosis / Types of patients: Post cath lab, post vascular procedures, day 2 CABG patients, general tele. Also have a Clinical Supervisor in a management role. - Techs: PCTs - 1 per every 16 patients. - Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend. - Tele: Centralized tele. RNs must be able to interpret EKGs. - Vents: No - Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: Hospitalist rounds during the day and on call at night. - IV Team: No - RT 24/7: Yes - Pharmacy 24/7: Yes - Shifts: 12 hr shifts. 7-7. - Floor specific orientation: 2 days on the floor. - Common diagnosis / Types of patients: Neuro post surgical, post cranis, spine, CVAs post TPA. - Additional Notes: No ICP monitoring. Also has Unit Supervisor., • Nurse Aides: PCTs on days. 1 PCT or Task RN at night., • Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts per 4 week period (days - Sat, Sun, nights - Fri, Sat).
