Job DescriptionJob Title: Quality InspectorJob Description We are seeking a diligent and experienced Quality Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all products meet quality standards by utilizing a variety of measurement tools and techniques in a metal manufacturing environment. Responsibilities • Use calipers, micrometers, steel rulers, and optical non-contact visual inspection machines to measure length, height, and diameter., • Read and interpret blueprints and specifications., • Monitor operations to ensure they meet production standards., • Recommend adjustments to assembly or production processes., • Inspect, test, or measure materials or products being produced., • Operate electronic inspection equipment and software, including coordinate-measuring machines (CMMs) and 3D scanners., • Approve or reject raw materials or finished products based on quality standards, recording supplier performance., • Remove products and materials that do not meet specifications., • Report inspection and test data such as weights, temperatures, grades, moisture content, and quantities inspected., • Prepare and submit reports to Quality Management., • Assist production personnel in promoting ideas for controlling wasted materials and time., • Maintain open communication with the QA Manager regarding revisions, updates, changes, and non-conformance., • Facilitate ISO 9001 quality-related investigations and lead audits for the QMS., • Lead investigations of customer complaints regarding quality.Essential Skills, • Proficiency with inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges., • Experience with quality systems documentation and ERP systems., • Ability to read and interpret blueprints., • Experience with Keyence measuring equipment or willingness to learn., • Strong communication skills, with the ability to speak in meetings and with management., • Independent decision-making skills and ability to manage one individual.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Experience with non-contact measuring equipment., • Familiarity with AS9100 standards for Aerospace quality., • Experience with ISO 9001 implementation and audits.Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Westfield, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
