Responsibilities: • Is aware of and performs duties and resident care according to facility policy and procedure, • Performs nursing rehab activities according to the comprehensive care plans for assigned residents/patients., • Understands, demonstrates and performs range of motion exercises, repositioning, ambulation, transfers and rehabilitative nursing measures in a safe manner., • Is responsible for the safe operations or application of equipment and devices such as: scales, resident lifts, side rails, physical restraints, splints, arm protectors, positioning devices, specialized mattresses and other adaptive equipment., • Provides range of motion exercises as per the recommendations of the physical/occupational therapists., • Explains to the resident/patient the nursing rehab activities that will be performed., • Maintains resident/patient privacy at all times., • Protects the resident/patient’s safety. If unable to remove the danger, notes and reports to the supervisor anything that may cause the resident/patient harm or injury., • Provides care to residents/ patients with communicable diseases who require isolation or special precautions.
