Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: Wound Care, • Discipline: RN, • Start Date: 09/15/2025, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 40 hours per week, • Shift: 8 hours, days, • Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse – Wound Care Specialist (Travel Contract) Facility: Mount Auburn Hospital (BILH) Location: 330 Mount Auburn Street, Cambridge, MA 02138 Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift, 5x8-hour shifts (8:00 AM start) Schedule: 40 hours/week, weekdays only (no weekends) Job Overview: The Wound Care Specialist RN will coordinate and provide wound care services across the facility, working closely with physicians, surgeons, and the Quality & Safety team. This role involves conducting patient evaluations, educating patients and families, assisting with treatment planning, and serving as a clinical resource in skin integrity and wound-related matters. The nurse will also lead quality improvement initiatives including NDNQI surveys and collaborate with staff on best practices in wound prevention and treatment. This position is strictly weekday, daytime hours with no weekend or on-call requirements. Candidates must have an active Massachusetts RN license at the time of submission and meet all BILH compliance standards. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: • Coordinate patient care from referral through follow-up, • Conduct wound assessments and evaluations, • Assist with scheduling, pre-authorizations, and follow-ups, • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on wound care plans, • Educate patients, families, and staff on wound and skin care, • Serve as a liaison to the Department of Quality & Safety, • Lead quarterly pressure injury prevalence survey (NDNQI), • Support process improvement initiatives hospital-wideRequired Experience & Skills:, • 1–3 years of wound care or related nursing experience, • Strong communication and coordination skills, • Familiarity with skin integrity protocols and pressure injury preventionPreferred Qualifications:, • Certification in Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nursing (WOCN), • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN), • EPIC EMR experience preferred, • Experience in quality/safety collaboration or process improvementCertifications:, • BLS (American Heart Association), • Active Massachusetts RN License (must be active at time of submission)Unit Details:, • Department: Center for Clinical & Professional Development, • Specialty: Wound Care, • Scrub Color: Not specified – follow facility guidelines, • Charting System: EPIC preferred, • Flu Vaccine:, • Required for all staff starting after 9/2 Founded in 2015, HonorVet Technologies stands as a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), proudly certified by NaVOBA and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
