The practice values professionalism, compassion, and clear communication with each team member and every patient. \n \n Role Description \n The Physician Assistant will provide direct patient care in an anti-aging and wellness setting, including conducting thorough histories, physical exams, and follow-up visits. Daily responsibilities include ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, formulating treatment plans, prescribing medications as allowed, and providing education on prevention, lifestyle modification, and wellness programs. The role involves counseling patients on topics such as hormone therapy, weight management, nutrition, exercise, and stress reduction, while coordinating care with the supervising physician and other team members. Depending on skill level, the PA will perform aesthetic treatments and help with research studies using state of the art technologies to help mitigate pain. The PA will document encounters accurately in the medical record, maintain regulatory and clinic standards, and participate in quality improvement initiatives as needed. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Chula Vista, CA. \n Qualifications \n \n\n • Current Physician Assistant license in California and national certification (PA-C), with eligibility to practice in an outpatient clinical setting\n, • Experience or strong interest in preventive medicine, anti-aging, wellness, hormone therapy, weight management, aesthetics and lifestyle-based care\n, • Proficiency in conducting patient assessments, developing evidence-based treatment plans, ordering/interpreting labs, and prescribing within scope\n, • Strong skills in patient communication, education, and counseling, with the ability to explain complex medical information clearly and empathetically\n, • Comfort with electronic health records (EHR), accurate documentation, and maintaining confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA\n, • Ability to work collaboratively with physicians and staff, manage a steady patient schedule, and adapt to evolving clinical protocols\n, • Preferred: prior outpatient or primary care or OBGYN or Integrative health experience; background in functional medicine, integrative medicine, aesthetics or endocrinology is a plus\n, • Interest in learning or expanding skill set and is good multitasker\n, • Spanish speaker is a plus\n, • Kind, solid work ethic and team player preferable\n, • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program; BLS/ACLS certification preferred\n
