W2 Acceptable Senior Business Analyst Duration: 3 months, with potential for extension Location/Address: Chandler, AZ 85286 - Hybrid, 3 days per week in office Working Hours: 8-5 PM AZT Position Overview The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for the identification and development of business process changes and improvements for one or multiple business areas at Client. The Senior Business Analyst works to improve Client's business processes and supports critical business strategies by managing and/or participating in the analysis of what is needed and development of functional and/or process requirements as well as the documentation, training, and testing, requisite changes. The Senior Business Analyst serves as liaison between Client and its client, ensuring excellent client service and satisfaction. They are also responsible for management of client relationships, developing and manage on-boarding plans, and delivering to commitments. This person may consult with department leaders and business heads to identify current operating procedures and to clarify program objectives. The incumbent has broad expertise in business and system concepts, practices, and procedures. This person is capable of providing leadership and guidance for one or multiple projects. The Senior Business Analyst relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. The incumbent demonstrates expertise in a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. This person may provide consultation on complex projects, client on-boarding and is considered to be a competent contributor/specialist. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. The Senior Business Analyst will report directly to the Senior Manager of Business Transformation. Communication in a number of areas is essential for this position. The Senior Business Analyst participates actively as a liaison and ambassador between the client community, business community and the technical community. In addition, (s)he participates actively as a Business Analyst team member by passing on business, process, and system expertise to other team members in a cooperative team environment. The Senior Business Analyst brings an understanding of business processes and business policy to the team as well as an established background in SAP. The desire to continue personal education in related areas such as business and process improvement is important. What you'll do at Client • Identify, analyze, and recommend business process changes and improvements in business areas at Client., • Liaison between client community, business community and the technical community., • Act as a conduit for alignment of business and technology goals and objectives., • Assist in forging a personalized working relationship between the various business units and IS by understanding the business needs and idiosyncrasies of each business unit., • Develop and refine skills of business team members in areas of SAP awareness and business analysis., • Communicate effectively and credibly with all organizational levels, with the specific ability to gain trust, draw out needs, creatively propose ideas, and immediately and expertly resolve conflicts and concerns., • Understand the ever-changing business environment of Client and the specifics of each functional business department., • Design, document, and continually improve business processes., • Work closely with the business and technical teams to document, resolve and retest any defects that are uncovered as part of the testing activities. This may include the management of a testing issues/defects log for larger projects, • Communicate status of change requests and other programs to business units, • Pursue continuing education in the areas of business strategy, analysis and technology., • Pursue continuing professional education in the areas of business analysis, client relationships, and process improvement skills through course training, self-study, participation in professional organizations such as ASUG, etc., • Ensure that all change request assigned to you or your work stream are continuously maintained or managed through the Software Development Lifecycle in a timely manner and that any and all appropriate actions necessary to ensure these items are maintained properly occurs, • Act as the Project Manager for all business or system changes, if and when a Project Manager has not been assigned to the change/project. This may include, but not limited to the management of any and all of the following tasks/documents: Project Request Form, Project Charter, Scope of Work, Project Plan, Risk Register and Lessons Learned, • Manage the development of the necessary training and/or Change Management plan to support any and all change requests that are moving into the production environment, • Manage the development and execution test scripts and plans (unit and integration), • Creation and Facilitation of any necessary Pre-production Go/No-Go Calls. To include working with the various resources involved in the project (i.e. technical, business, etc.) in order to complete and prepare for the particular session., • Work with the business Superuser to gather or review gathered business requirements to ensure that they are complete, adequately convey the needs of the business unit and do not have any adverse effects on the upstream or downstream processes in the overall end to end process, • Follow and understand how requested changes will affect the various functional departments and functionality of other modules within SAP, • Coordinate and conduct meetings including the sending of agendas prior to the meeting, assignment of roles such as note-taker during the meeting, and distribution of meeting minutes and action items after the meeting., • Assist other BA team members in forging a personalized working relationship between the various business units and IS by understanding the business needs and idiosyncrasies of each business unit., • Act as a catalyst for change, and have experience with organizational design, change management., • Develop integrated plans and take responsibility for resolving change requests and other projects by the agreed upon deadlines or milestone promise dates., • Advise other BA team members and business leaders. Mentor and help to develop or refine skills of team members in the areas of client relationship, business analysis, and technical understanding., • Participates in recruiting of new Business Analysts and Senior Business Analysts, • May be responsible for providing direction to consulting resources, • Identify and justify the need for project resources including process owners, process experts, training resources, technical resources, permanent employees, consultants, etc., • As needed, Architect, design, and document business processes., • Perform other duties as assigned. What you'll need to join Client • BS/BA or equivalent experience required; Master's Degree strongly desired., • Demonstrated experience applying AI tools and techniques to enhance business analysis, reporting, or process automation., • Proficiency in Microsoft Power Query for data transformation, cleansing, and integration across multiple sources., • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including complex formulas, pivot tables, Power Pivot, macros, and dashboard creation., • Ability to leverage AI-driven Client to support strategic decision-making and process optimization., • Experience integrating AI models or automation tools into business workflows or reporting systems., • Strong understanding of data modeling and analytics using Excel and Power Query to support operational and strategic initiatives., • Must have 8+ years' experience in requirements definition, project management, change management and problem solving in a service business environment., • Minimum 7 years' experience working with an ERP system, preferably SAP., • Broad FBA expertise with two or more SAP R/3 Modules, with a minimum of two implementations or upgrades required., • Experience with business process analysis and change management., • Knowledge in Process Flow mapping Toolset such as Microsoft Visio or a similar toolset is a plus, • Experience in SharePoint is a plus to support various aspects of a Senior Business Analysts job functions, • Project management a plus as it relates to the business units. This includes being able to develop project plans to meet team objectives in line with project objectives, coordinate and influence team personnel, set milestones and achieving them, and providing status reports to the Management. Can conceptualize and develop creative solutions., • Can embrace change and be a catalyst for change in the business community., • Has participated in group work sessions making major decisions regarding workflow, business analysis, implementation planning, and system testing., • Highly articulate in both oral and written communication, presentation, persuasion and negotiation to achieve desired result., • Can communicate effectively and credibly with all organizational levels, with the specific ability to gain trust, draw out needs, creatively propose ideas, and immediately and expertly resolve conflicts and concerns., • Ambitious, flexible, and aggressive.
