SUMMARY: The Recruiter performs duties at the professional level in the following functional areas; to include but not limited to full cycle recruitment and all associated activities and responsibilities to execute the recruiting function for BYD North America. This position requires an extremely perceptive person who can relate to individuals at all levels within the organization. The Recruiter must be sensitive to corporate and business needs while maintaining employee goodwill and confidentiality. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. • Lead full cycle recruiting efforts, which includes sourcing, posting, evaluating resumes, prescreening applicants, scheduling, interviewing, assessing, evaluating skills, and negotiating compensation. Packages and closing, for critical and growing business functions. Editing job descriptions and performing reference checks for new hires. Process hiring-related paperwork., • Perform searches for qualified job candidates, using sources such as computer databases, ATS, networking, internet recruiting resources, media advertisements, job fairs, recruiting firms, community outreach or employee referrals., • Interview job applicants to obtain information on work history, training, education, or job skills., • Inform job applicants of details such as duties and responsibilities, compensation, benefits, schedules, working conditions, or promotion opportunities., • Select qualified job applicants or refer them to managers, making hiring recommendations when appropriate., • Contact job applicants, answer all job applicant questions regarding the status of their applications., • Support exemplary candidate experience at every stage of the process., • Strategize different ways to build talent pipelines and execute on research, referral generation, events, and sourcing campaigns to meet staffing requirements., • Maintain and nurture a pipeline of leads and identify future opportunities that align with their experiences and interests., • Consult with managers to discover staff requirements and specific job objectives. Develop or implement recruiting strategies to meet current or anticipated staffing needs., • Evaluate, develop or enhance selection or testing techniques by conducting research or follow-up activities and conferring with management or supervisory personnel., • Maintain a complete record of interviews and new hires. Provide updates to management regarding candidate status., • Assist with new employee orientations., • Analyze employment-related data including but not limited to open requisitions, turnover rates and time to fill. Prepare and present required reports., • Develop and implement recruiting or retention programs in collaboration with management., • Advise managers on interviewing best practices including conducting fair and legal interviews. Assist management on developing effective candidate rating/ interview forms., • Maintain current knowledge on job-market and human resources trends., • Maintain current knowledge of relevant employment law, Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and affirmative action guidelines and laws, such as the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)., • Human Resources Capacity. Personal Effectiveness/Credibility and confidentiality., • Knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training, compensation and benefits, labor relations, and negotiation., • Proficiency in ATS, HRIS, and other recruitment technology and online recruiting platforms., • Understanding of administrative and office procedures and systems such as Microsoft Office suite, managing files and records, creating forms and workplace terminology. This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department. WORK ENVIRONMENT: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely involves standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This is a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stepstool as necessary. TRAVEL: 10% travel required in own insured vehicle to attend job fairs, and external recruiting events, networking, or outreach. REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: • Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years Human Resources experience or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred., • Certifications PHR/SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP preferred., • Bilingual (English/Mandarin) preferred but not required., • Ability to develop trusting relationships with the team. PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, OR SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
