ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * Manage daily office operations and maintaining office supplies and records * Pay bills, oversee payrolls, and track and record church income from donations and sales * Keep accurate financial records * Administer the records of the church and official documents * Handle church communications and publications, creating and distributing bulletins and newsletters * Update the church’s website and social media accounts * Provide general administrative support to the pastoral staff as requested * Serve as the church receptionist by answering incoming phone calls, greeting office visitors, and redirecting inquires as appropriate * Oversee church facility maintenance and security operations * Coordinate the schedule of church events * Assist with scheduling meetings, renting church equipment and facilities, and enforcing church policies for facility use * Building and maintaining relationships with the congregation and community * Work with pastors and other church leaders to develop, implement, and maintain organizational policies and programs * Complete other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS: * Previous office or administrative experience * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Strong administrative, organizational, and time management skills * Knowledge of general fiscal management principles (e.g. accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, etc.) * Knowledge and proficiency with computers and commonly used office software * Knowledge and proficiency with general office equipment * Ability to work independently or with a team * Strong attention to detail * Ability to meet deadlines and problem solve * Ability to maintain confidentiality and use discernment * Commitment to being an upstanding representative of the church community CORE COMPETENCIES: Organizational skills: Church administrators must be able to keep track of multiple projects and deadlines, manage volunteers, and coordinate with other organizations in the community.
