Malone Healthcare - Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN Stepdown for a travel nursing job in Newburgh, Indiana. • Specialty: Stepdown, • Discipline: RN, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 36 hours per week, • Shift: 12 hours, days, • Employment Type: Travel Step Down; RN - Day shift - Newburgh, IN NO LOCAL CANIDATES (40 MILE RADIUS RULE) Contract Length: 13 weeks Guaranteed hours: 36 (will accept 48s upon request) Shift Requirement: 12hr Days 6:30-7 Required Certs to be attached upon submittal: Must have current active compact license. AHA BLS, AHA ACLS and NIHSS. Minimum Experience REQUIRED: 2 years RN experience, 1 full year of stepdown experience, 1 travel assignment, trauma level II experience. Charting Experience: Recent EPIC experience required (will be required to do a checkoff class) Float Requirement: First to float within skillset. Weekend/Holiday Requirement: Three weekends out of every six week schedule. Every other holiday. Patient Population: Cardiac (post cath stents/interventions, pacers), CIWA/BH, Sepsis, DKA, CVA, CPAP, feeding tubes, crani POD 2, GI bleeds, hypothermic/bear hugger. REQUIRED- Tele/12-lead EKG interpretation (TRAVELERS REQUIRED TO PASS TELE TESTS), Initiate/titrate drips (antiarrhythmics, Heparin, Insulin, etc.). Post surgical assessment/care. NIHSS/Neuro assessments/dysphagia screen. PREFFERED- Stable home vents, PleurX drain/pericardial drains, lumber drains, VP shunts, Narcan drips. Must have strong assessment and critical thinking skills! Hard worker, resilient and manages change well, social candidates. Unit Information: 16 beds; Ratio: Days 1:3-4; NOCs 1:3-4 (1:5 for M/S). CN takes 1:2 patient assignment. Unit Strengths: Fantastic CNA support, very helpful charge nurses, great teamwork.
