American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Charlotte, North Carolina. Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: Labor and Delivery, • Discipline: RN, • Start Date: ASAP, • Duration: 10 weeks, • 48 hours per week, • Shift: 12 hours, nights, • Work in a combined Labor & Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum (LDRP) hospital unit, • The unit sees approximately 1,500 patients per year and has 29 beds with 1 OR suite, • Patient population includes high-risk LDRP cases such as PPH, diabetics requiring insulin gtts, PROM, and placenta previa, as well as GYN surgical cases like hysterectomy, • Patient ratios for RNs are acuity based, • Shifts are 12 hours (7a-7p and 7p-7a) on a 6-week schedule cycle, • Floating is required within the region and scope of practice to multiple facilities as needed, • Uses Epic for EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, Phillips monitors, GE Corometrics fetal monitors, and GE Panda Warmers, • Support team includes OB techs, CNA/ST, receptionist/HUC, charge nurse, case manager, RT, 24/7 hospitalist and OB physician coverage, pediatricians, and lactation consultants, • No remote tele-monitoring is utilized on the unit, • Required to wear navy blue scrubs or business casual attire to and from work; hospital-issued scrubs provided for use while at work, • Free parking available for staff, • Up to 6 days off may be approved during the contract (excluding holidays); time off must be added to the end of the contract if contracted hours are not met\n \n Requirements\n, • Active RN license required, • Current BLS, ACLS, EFM, and NRP certifications required, • At least 2 years of recent LDRP experience, • Must be skilled in all aspects of LDRP patient care including circulating for c-sections, newborn care, 24-hour testing, NAS scoring, and lactation support, • Previous experience with Epic EMR preferred, • Permanent address must be at least 50 miles from home unit, • First-time travelers are not accepted\n Benefits\n, • High Pay and Bonuses, • Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options, • 401(k) Plan, • Weekly Payroll Deposit, • Free Online CEUs, • Generous Housing Allowance, • Travel and Licensure Reimbursements, • Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy With thousands of travel nursing and allied jobs nationwide, our attentive and approachable recruiters find positions that align perfectly with your career aspirations and personal requirements.
