Job DescriptionDescription: As a CNA you will play a vital role in providing direct care and support to our residents, assisting with activities of daily living, promoting their independence, and ensuring their comfort and well-being. Schedule: Full-Time, Weekends, Evening 8 Hours, 2pm to 10pm Your Role: • As a CNA, you’ll be a vital part of our clinical team, assisting patients with their daily needs and supporting their recovery journey. Responsibilities include:, • Helping patients with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility, • Monitoring vital signs and intake/output as directed, • Assisting with meals, toileting, and patient transfers using gait belts or mechanical lifts, • Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized patient environment, • Answering call lights promptly and treating all patients with dignity, respect, and kindness, • Supporting admissions, discharges, and patient orientation when needed, • Current certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) in New Mexico., • Current CPR certification., • Prior experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar medical setting preferred., • Ability to build rapport with residents through a compassionate and caring demeanor., • Commitment to providing high-quality, resident-centered care with empathy and compassion., • Work performed in a medical setting due to the need to care for residents in person., • Must be able to sit, stand, bend, reach, talk, hear, stoop, kneel, crouch, stretch, and twist., • Stamina to stand and move about the facility to perform frequent rounds and respond to emergent situations as needed., • Emotional resilience and ability to cope with the physical and emotional demands of working with residents who may have complex healthcare needs., • Capability to lift and transfer residents safely, with proper body mechanics and assistance as needed., • Required vision includes close, vision, distance, peripheral, and the ability to adjust focus., • Maintain regular attendance and timeliness as set forth within the work schedule designated by the department supervisor/manager., • The job requires accepting criticism and dealing calmly and effectively with high-stress situations., • The ability to use your abdominal and lower back muscles to support part of the body repeatedly or continuously over time without "giving out" or fatiguing., • The ability to keep your hand and arm steady while moving your arm or while holding your arm and hand in one position.
