GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY : Providing personal care to residents, following the established policies and procedures of the facility. LICENSE OR CERTIFICATE: CNA must have current listing with the N.C. Division of Facility Service as a CNA I. Positions Available: Full-time, Part-time Essential Job Functions: • Provide and/or assist residents with personal hygiene, including bathing, dressing, oral hygiene, shaving, hair care, nail care, and general grooming., • Assist residents with meals, setting up trays and feeding as needed. Records and measures intake and output of residents on monitoring., • Assist with bowel and bladder needs by taking residents to the bathroom or offering bedpan and/or urinal every 2 hours. Provide daily catheter care where needed., • Assist residents in transfers from bed to chair or chair to commode, using proper body mechanics. Assist with ambulating as directed., • Participate in nursing techniques including: proper positioning in bed or chair, ADL training, passive ROM exercises and ambulation., • Check and record routine vital signs and weights as assigned; report any reading that is high or low to the Charge Nurse., • Responsible in maintain cleanliness of wheelchairs and other adaptive equipment., • Help to admit residents by Orientating patient to roommate, bathroom, mealtimes, and etceteras., • Change bed linens on shower days and as needed; place soiled linen in dirty linen hampers., • Turn and position bed‐bound residents at least every two (2) hours and Provide frequent skin care (twice per shift) for bed‐bound residents., • Encourage residents to be active; to participate in activities of daily living and recreational activities. Assist residents to activities as needed., • Ensure that resident’s rooms are tidy/clean and organized to include closets, drawers, and bathroom Minimum age ‐ eighteen (l8) years of age. Must be a high school graduate or have its equivalent (GED). Must be able to read, write and follow instructions. Current listing as CNAI with DFS with no substantiated findings. Must be dependable in reporting to work and performing duties.
