The Opportunity The Estate Planning/Elder Law Paralegal will play an important role in supporting attorneys and managing client matters from engagement through completion. This position is ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and energized by working in a growing practice. The right candidate will be someone who takes pride in doing excellent work, anticipates what needs to be done, follows through on commitments, and understands that every client interaction matters. Key Responsibilities • Support attorneys with Estate Planning and Elder Law matters from initial engagement through completion., • Prepare, organize, and maintain legal documents, correspondence, forms, and client files., • Assist with preparation and coordination of estate planning documents and related legal materials., • Assist with Elder Law matters, including document gathering, client communications, and matter coordination., • Communicate professionally and compassionately with clients, family members, attorneys, and other professionals., • Maintain accurate and organized electronic and physical files., • Track deadlines, follow-ups, appointments, and outstanding client information., • Coordinate with attorneys and other team members to ensure matters move forward efficiently., • Proactively identify missing information, potential issues, and upcoming deadlines., • Assist with client intake, document collection, and preparation for meetings., • Help ensure matters are completed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with firm processes., • Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive client information., • Contribute ideas to improve systems, processes, workflows, and the overall client experience., • Take ownership of assigned matters and follow through without requiring constant supervision., • Support a collaborative, team-oriented environment where everyone contributes to the success of the firm. Qualifications • Prior experience as an EP and/or Elder Law paralegal, • A Bachelor’s degree and/or certificate in Paralegal Studies;, • Strong legal writing, research, organizational, and communication skills;, • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook;, • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities, • A professional and compassionate approach to working with clients and their families; and, • The ability to work independently while also contributing to a collaborative team environment.
