Job DescriptionOverview Registered Nurse – ICU (Neuro Medicine ICU) in Rochester, NY. This is a travel, temporary assignment starting 04/27/2026 for 13 weeks in a Neuro-focused Medical/Surgical ICU. The unit details include a 12-bed, state-of-the-art Neuro ICU with a D/E/N rotation and holidays/on-call/callback requirements. Expect a 12-hour shift schedule (3x12s) averaging 36 hours per week. Compensation is $2,104 to $2,214 per week. Key Highlights • Start date: 04/27/2026, • Contract duration: 13 weeks, • Weekly pay: $2,104–$2,214 per week, • Shift: 12-hour shifts (3x12s), D/E/N rotation, • Weekly hours: 36 hours per week, • Unit setting: Neuro-focused Medical/Surgical ICU (12-bed) Responsibilities • Provide direct nursing care for critically ill neuro patients, including those with traumatic brain injury, aneurysm, status epilepticus, stroke, and other neurologic pathologies., • Monitor and interpret neurological status, hemodynamics, telemetry, ventilator support, and continuous infusions; respond to changes promptly., • Administer medications and therapies per protocol, including vasoactive infusions, seizure management, and sedation in collaboration with the ICU team., • Perform frequent assessments, develop and implement care plans, document in the electronic medical record, and participate in rounds with multidisciplinary teams., • Ensure patient safety, comfort, and family communication; participate in code duties and respond to emergent events per unit policy. Weekly pay ranges from $2,694 to $2,845 per week, with 12-hour shifts. The role supports an EP program in a clinical EP setting with primarily daytime hours, occasional late nights and on-call; holidays may be required, but weekends are not currently required.
