Responsibilities include medication administration, insulin injections, wound care, health assessments, and day-to-day support. The LVN also closely monitors behavioral and medical changes to ensure safety and well-being, while advocating for each individual’s goals and independence. Key Responsibilities * Administer insulin injections and manage carbohydrate intake * Administer medications in accordance with the five rights * Attend medical appointments and communicate updates to physicians * Assist with daily living activities (bathing, grooming, meal prep, etc.) * Perform wound care, dressing changes, breathing treatments * Audit medications each cycle for accuracy and compliance * Perform g-tube feedings and colostomy care * Deliver intramuscular injections and diabetic insulin injections * Evaluate mental status and responsiveness after seizures or incidents * Support and redirect individuals during behavioral episodes * Document daily client notes and report observations or injuries * Identify early and late signs of infection * Conduct physical assessments: vital signs, head-to-toe checks * Participate in community outings and activities * Perform additional duties as assigned Requirements * Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) – Required * Minimum 1 year experience supporting adults with developmental disabilities * First Aid, CPR, and CPI certifications (or willingness to obtain) * At least 21 years old * Valid California Driver’s License * Must pass all pre-employment screenings (background check, physical, etc.) Work Location * One on-site location in Bakersfield * Not a remote position Apply Today to Join Our Nursing Team!
