Job DescriptionSalary: $20-$25 per hour DOE Summary/Objective: The Front of House Liaison for Philadelphia Ballet is a seasonal part-time position responsible for creating a positive and efficient patron experience during Philadelphia Ballet performances. They will provide leadership to event staff and a superior level of customer service and attentiveness to patrons. This position requires the ability to multitask, and problem solve in a fast-paced environment. Must be available to work daytime, night and weekend performances at The Academy of Music as scheduled with the supervisor. Essential Functions: • Monitors house count and continuously communicates with Ballet staff to determine show start time., • Oversees performance timelines with stage management, including preshow chat, curtain speeches, and intermission., • Maintains constant communication with Advancement Team and awareness of all Development Events such as post-performance Meet & Greets., • Understands the functioning of the Boutique, backstage visits and Nutcracker Character Photos., • Responsible for assisting with the delivery of excellent customer service from front-of-house staff., • Works with Academy staff to maintain the appearance of the lobby and all public areas; communicates with Maintenance as necessary to ensure a clean environment., • Assists Academy staff to resolve conflicts with any patron issues., • Coordinates with Academy Staff to ensure Philadelphia Ballet needs are being met., • Works closely with management to ensure proper staff is in place for all performances., • Assists Academy staff in emergency situations, including fires, medical emergencies, and inclement weather warnings., • Works to ensure all Company interests are emphasized in all front of house plans and activities., • Coordinates with Ballet staff and Academy Box Office to ensure timely provision of last minute or special tickets (media, VIP, company guest, etc.) Supervisory Responsibility: None Expected Hours of Work: The Front of House Liaison must be available for daytime, night and weekend performances at The Academy of Music as scheduled with the supervisor. Required Education and Experience: • High School Diploma or equivalent, • Minimum 2 years experience in customer service, • Experience in front of house theatre venues preferred Required Competencies: • Strong interpersonal skills., • Strong organizational and time management skills., • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal., • Strong leadership abilities., • Ability to problem solve, • Establish and maintain effective and productive working relationships within a diverse and multicultural environment, • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment, • Ability to collaborate well with others across all functional areas., • Must maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times., • Ability to work evenings and weekends Work Authorization/Security Clearance: Must provide satisfactory background checks and child abuse clearances as may be required for role.
