Job DescriptionPhlebotomist Patient Services Representative II – 1st ShiftAlternate/Related Job Titles: • Phlebotomy Technician II, • Senior Patient Services Representative, • Position Type: Contract, • Contract Duration: 3 months, • Start: As Soon As Possible, • Pay Rate: $19.85–21.80/hrJob Summary:The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) delivers skilled, high-quality phlebotomy services and represents the organization to patients seeking routine or critical diagnostic testing. This role collects and processes specimens, ensures accuracy in patient data, and provides professional and compassionate service. The PSR II may rotate between multiple locations, support PSC operations, and help maintain workflow efficiency in high-volume environments.Key Responsibilities:, • Collect quality blood specimens and prepare them for laboratory analysis following established procedures., • Validate patient demographic information and complete post-venipuncture verification, ensuring tubes are labeled correctly in the patient’s presence., • Perform both forensic and clinical specimen collection accurately and confidently., • Maintain patient records, documentation, and required logs., • Uphold a safe, professional, and compliant work environment., • Demonstrate strong customer service and leadership behaviors in all patient interactions., • Make sound decisions based on established procedures and good judgment., • Support multiple locations as needed and travel locally with minimal notice., • Communicate openly with patients, supervisors, and team members., • Manage multiple priorities in fast-paced, high-volume clinical settings., • Adhere to dress code, safety standards, and company policies.Required Experience:, • Three (3) years of phlebotomy experience including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections (REQUIRED)., • Minimum 2 years PSC/IOP experience preferred., • Customer service experience preferred., • Keyboard/data entry experience required.Nice-to-Have Experience:, • Experience floating between multiple PSC/IOP locations., • Background working with complex or high-volume patient needs., • Experience supporting site lead or shift lead responsibilities.Required Skills:, • Excellent phlebotomy skills across multiple patient age groups., • High accuracy and attention to detail., • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision., • Strong judgment and professionalism.Preferred Skills:, • Superior customer focus and communication skills., • Ability to multitask in fast-paced environments., • Flexible availability (weekends, holidays, overtime).Additional Skills:, • Ability to embrace change and work collaboratively., • Strong knowledge of operational workflows in PSC/IOP environments., • Commitment to confidentiality, patient safety, and process excellence.Required Education:, • High school diploma or equivalent (REQUIRED)., • Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred., • Phlebotomy certification preferred (required only in CA, NV, WA; not required in NY).Work Environment & Schedule:, • Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM–4:00 PM, • Every Other Saturday: 8:00 AM–12:00 PM, • Onsite only; no remote work, • COVID vaccination not required, • No hospital credentialing required, • Federal Contract Work: No, • Temp Justification: Site lead out for 6 monthsBenefits:, • Medical, Vision, and Dental Insurance Plans We are a Native American-owned, economically disadvantaged corporation that highly values diverse and inclusive workplaces.
