The Vice President, Tax will lead all aspects of the company’s global income tax function, including domestic and international tax planning, compliance, transfer pricing, and income tax accounting (ASC 740). This role partners closely with Finance, FP&A, Treasury, Legal, and Business Development, and plays a key role in tax planning related to strategic initiatives and potential M&A activity. The VP will develop a deep understanding of the business while driving tax strategy, ensuring compliance across jurisdictions, and improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the company’s tax processes. Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration will be essential in working with internal teams and external advisors. Key Impact Areas Improve tax and financial processes to increase efficiency, shorten close cycles, and enhance tax forecasting. Drive tax planning strategies that reduce cash tax obligations and optimize the effective tax rate. Strengthen legal entity and intercompany reporting processes. Maximize the effectiveness of the company’s tax co‑source partner. Build strong partnerships across Finance, Legal, and other key functions. Core Responsibilities Tax Accounting & Reporting Manage preparation and review of the income tax provision and related ASC 740 reporting. Coordinate quarterly tax reporting with FP&A and Treasury. Prepare tax disclosures for audited financial statements. Support external audits and respond to tax accounting inquiries. Maintain and enhance internal controls and support Internal Audit testing. Oversee monthly close activities including tax‑related reconciliations and analyses. Tax Planning Develop and execute tax planning strategies to optimize the company’s effective tax rate and cash tax position. Identify federal, state, and local tax incentives. Support strategic business initiatives and transactions, including M&A. Prepare for evolving tax legislation and global changes such as Pillar II. Tax Compliance Oversee global income tax compliance and maintain a global tax calendar. Ensure accurate and timely filing of tax returns, extensions, and estimated payments. Manage tax audits, notices, and examinations. Oversee foreign withholding and reporting requirements. Lead the company’s transfer pricing strategy, documentation, and reporting. Coordinate with Treasury on intercompany settlements and funding of international entities. Respond to transfer pricing documentation requests across jurisdictions. Leadership & Special Projects Lead and develop the tax team within a matrixed organization. Partner with external tax advisors and co‑source providers. Support strategic projects such as legal entity rationalization and process improvements. Qualifications BS in Accounting required; Master’s in Tax preferred; CPA required . 18+ years of tax experience , including both public accounting and corporate tax. Experience in retail or consumer products preferred . Expertise in domestic and international taxation , tax accounting (ASC 740), compliance, and transfer pricing. Proven experience leading and building tax functions and managing teams. Strong ability to drive process improvements and operate in a fast‑paced environment. Familiarity with financial reporting and consolidation systems. Experience with tax software (e.g., OneSource ) preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr
