The clinician will work with a diverse pediatric population presenting with neurological, developmental, and medically based communication and feeding/swallowing disorders. Responsibilities include clinical evaluation, therapeutic intervention, interdisciplinary collaboration, caregiver education, and participation in instrumental swallowing assessments. Candidates with inpatient rehabilitation experience are strongly preferred. Key ResponsibilitiesPatient Care\t • Independently evaluate pediatric patients with known or suspected communication disorders, including speech, language, and oral-motor dysfunction.\t, • Utilize standardized and non-standardized assessment tools to determine functional communication and feeding/swallowing abilities.\t, • Document evaluation findings in accordance with departmental and organizational standards.\t, • Develop individualized treatment plans with measurable goals and regularly update patient progress.\t, • Provide inpatient and outpatient speech and language therapy services.\t, • Perform and interpret videofluoroscopic swallow studies (VFSS).\t, • Implement evidence-based intervention strategies addressing speech, language, feeding, and swallowing needs.\t, • Educate and train families/caregivers on home therapy programs.\t, • Present clinical findings and treatment recommendations to families and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.\t, • Coordinate care and refer patients to appropriate medical, therapeutic, or educational services when necessary.\t, • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, educators, and healthcare professionals to support optimal patient outcomes.Required Skills & Qualifications\t, • High level of analytical ability to independently assess clinical challenges and develop effective treatment plans.\t, • Advanced competency in pediatric speech and language assessment procedures.\t, • Experience managing communication and feeding/swallowing disorders in infants and children.\t, • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interdisciplinary collaboration and caregiver education.\t, • Fundamental research knowledge, including understanding of research methodology, study design, and basic statistics.Preferred Qualifications\t, • Experience in inpatient rehabilitation settings.\t, • Pediatric dysphagia and instrumental swallow study experience.\t Founded in 2015, HonorVet Technologies stands as a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), proudly certified by NaVOBA and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
