Job Description Electrical Engineer This role offers the opportunity to work in an Agile engineering environment on complex systems and cutting-edge technologies. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to research, design, develop, modify, and evaluate systems, components, equipment, sub-systems, and networks. The position is hands-on and lab-focused, involving extensive testing, troubleshooting, and integration activities to deliver high-quality products for both new development and legacy upgrade programs. Responsibilities • Collaborate in an Agile environment with other engineering disciplines and program personnel to perform engineering research, design, development, modification, and evaluation of complex systems and their components, equipment, sub-systems, and networks., • Conduct trade studies to compare technical approaches and support informed decision-making for system and subsystem designs., • Perform dynamic analyses to evaluate system performance and behavior under various operating conditions., • Allocate and trace system and subsystem requirements, ensuring clear documentation and alignment across the engineering lifecycle., • Develop algorithms to support system functionality, performance, and control, and document them clearly for implementation and testing., • Author detailed test procedures to verify system, subsystem, and component-level requirements., • Verify requirements through structured testing, analysis, and review, ensuring systems meet performance and compliance objectives., • Integrate hardware and software components and conduct integration testing to validate system functionality and interoperability., • Perform root cause analysis to identify and resolve defects, performance issues, and integration problems., • Troubleshoot analog and digital circuits using common laboratory tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, power supplies, function generators, and digital multimeters., • Interface with vendors to coordinate component selection, procurement, and technical issue resolution., • Collaborate with customers to clarify requirements, review progress, and address technical questions or concerns., • Work closely with engineers from other disciplines, including systems engineering, integration, and test, to deliver robust, high-quality products., • Support hands-on testing efforts in the lab, including setup, execution, data collection, and documentation of results., • Contribute to both new development programs and legacy system upgrades, helping to integrate new technologies into existing platforms. Essential Skills • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE)., • Experience with analog circuits and digital circuits, including design, analysis, and troubleshooting., • Hands-on testing and troubleshooting skills in a laboratory environment., • Familiarity with common laboratory engineering tools, including logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, power supplies, function generators, digital multimeters, and other support equipment., • Ability to conduct trade studies, perform dynamic analyses, allocate and trace requirements, develop algorithms, and author test procedures., • Experience verifying requirements, integrating and testing systems, performing root cause analysis, and resolving defects., • Ability to interface effectively with vendors, customers, and multidisciplinary engineering teams., • An active U.S. security clearance at the Secret level or higher, or the ability to obtain an Interim Clearance, is required. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Experience working in an Agile engineering environment., • Background in systems integration, system test, or related systems engineering functions., • Experience supporting both new development programs and legacy system upgrades., • Strong documentation skills for test procedures, requirements, and analysis reports., • Ability to work effectively within large, multi-group engineering organizations., • Interest in working on cutting-edge technologies and complex defense-related systems.Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Liverpool, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $38.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
