Job Description Job Title: CT Technician – Radiology / Imaging Rate: Up to $2500.00 weekly Location: Watertown, NY Evening / Night Shift (12H) - (Thurs. 11A-11P) - (Fri. 11A-11P) - (Sat. 7P-7A) Position Summary The CT Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality computed tomography imaging procedures in accordance with physician orders, departmental protocols, and regulatory standards. This role ensures patient safety, comfort, and confidentiality while maintaining efficient workflow and delivering excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities Imaging & Technical Duties • Perform CT scans according to established protocols and physician specifications., • Verify patient identity and accurately review orders before each exam., • Operate CT scanners and related equipment safely and effectively., • Adjust machine settings and utilize proper techniques to obtain optimal image quality., • Perform IV placement for contrast injections and monitor patients for adverse reactions., • Maintain cleanliness, functionality, and safety of imaging equipment., • Provide clear instructions and compassionate care throughout the imaging process., • Assess patient condition and ability to tolerate procedures; modify techniques as needed., • Observe patients during scans to detect and respond to any discomfort or complications., • Accurately document procedures, patient histories, and contrast use in the EMR/PACS., • Ensure all exams are completed efficiently to support department workflow., • Follow radiation safety guidelines and ALARA principles., • Maintain required logs, quality assurance checks, and regulatory documentation. Required: • Graduate of an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology, • Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), • ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology (R.T.(R)), • CT certification or eligibility (R.T.(R)(CT)), • Active BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, • Active New York State Radiologic Technologist License at time of submission, • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist, • Minimum of 1 year of general Radiologic/Imaging experience, • Specific experience and formal training in radiology beyond minimum requirements, • Experience with IV contrast administration, • Strong knowledge of CT imaging principles and radiation safety., • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and adapt to fast-paced environments., • Excellent communication, patient service, and problem-solving skills., • High attention to detail with accurate documentation and time management., • Ability to stand for extended periods., • Ability to assist with patient transfers and lift up to 50 lbs., • Manual dexterity for operating imaging equipment and starting IVs.
