About The Role The Events & Social Media Manager will sit within the Marketing team and own the end-to-end planning and execution of the company’s event program—spanning in-person and virtual experiences—while also managing our social media presence to amplify event promotion and thought leadership content. This role manages everything from small internal gatherings to large-scale external events, including sponsorships, exhibition booths, speaker management, vendor negotiations, registration, event giveaways, and event communications. A core part of the role is ensuring strong internal visibility and engagement by promoting marketing events and activities across the wider firm, supported by executing our social media strategy to help drive event attendance, showcase our expertise, and strengthen our brand presence across key platforms. The role will support both proprietary and industry events geared towards our clients as well as VoC (Voice of Client) businesses. You will have the ability to: • Strategize with business stakeholders and own event delivery from concept through post-event wrap-up: objectives, audience, format, timelines, and execution., • Build project plans for each event, manage dependencies, and ensure deadlines are met., • Create scalable processes to support both small and large event formats., • Lead on sponsorships, exhibitions & booth management for industry events plus identify and evaluate events and sponsorship opportunities aligned with marketing goals and target audiences., • Manage sponsorship deliverables end-to-end (branding, speaking opportunities, lead capture, attendee engagement, deadlines)., • Coordinate with venues on exhibition booths: design coordination, shipping/logistics, on-site setup/breakdown, etc,, • Ensure brand consistency across events., • Coordinate speaker logistics (internal/external), invitations, registration forms, briefing calls, contracts with venues (as needed)., • Partner with the rest of the CG marketing team and businesses to make sure messaging aligns with campaign priorities and brand positioning., • Manage vendors including sourcing & negotiations. (Contracts, AV, catering, staffing, rentals, photography/video, signage), • Own the registration process including registration pages, confirmation emails, reminders, check-in, badges, seating, accessibility needs, and onsite support (when needed)., • Manage attendee communications across the event lifecycle (pre, during, post) to ensure a high-quality experience., • Own event collateral and giveaways (swag) from concept to distribution: sourcing, design coordination, ordering, inventory, shipping, and on-site setup., • Manage signage, printed materials, booth assets in partnership with Brand/Creative., • Serve as a key internal promoter of the marketing calendar—ensuring the wider firm knows what’s happening, why it matters, and how to participate., • Create and manage internal comms plans for marketing events and activities (announcements, reminders, recaps, stakeholder updates)., • Own event budgets: forecasting, tracking, invoice processing., • Define success metrics per event (e.g., attendance, engagement, lead outcomes where applicable, satisfaction, internal participation)., • Run post-event debriefs, capture feedback, and continuously improve processes and vendor lists. Social Media: • Develop and execute our social media strategy to help promote events, drive registrations, and amplify thought leadership content across LinkedIn, Twitter/X, You Tube and other relevant platforms., • Work with business stakeholders and marketing team to create and promote relevant and digestible content which will support our thought leadership, help grow our brand as well as our communities of clients., • Create social media content calendars aligned with the release of reports, event timelines and marketing campaigns, including pre-event teasers, live coverage, speaker highlights, and post-event recaps., • Work with Creative and the rest of Marketing to generate engaging social media content (copy, graphics, videos)., • Monitor social media engagement and foster community around our posts., • Track and analyze social media performance metrics (reach, engagement, conversions) to optimize content and strategy. Requirements Event Management Experience: • 3+ years of experience in financial event management within a marketing, corporate, or agency environment., • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple events concurrently with strong attention to detail., • Experience delivering in-person and virtual/webinar events., • Proven vendor/venue sourcing experience, including contract negotiation and budget management., • Knowledge of agencies to assist with aspects of event planning (registration pages, etc.)., • Familiarity with lead capture and post-event follow-up workflows, including social media retargeting and content distribution., • Ability to scale event size from a 20-person gathering to a 200-person conference, adapting social media strategies accordingly., • Strong understanding of costs, quality, and delivering events within budget., • Financial industry knowledge is a strong plus. Social Media Execution: • 2+ years managing corporate social media accounts, especially LinkedIn, X/Twitter and You Tube., • Experience creating and executing social media strategies for event promotion, thought leadership, and community engagement., • Content creation, including crafting compelling copy, engaging hooks, calls to action, and adapting tone for different audiences., • A high attention to visual standards and brand consistency., • Strong organizational skills to develop and maintain social media content calendars aligned with event timelines and marketing campaigns., • Experience managing social media content approval workflows, ensuring compliance with brand standards and regulatory requirements., • Proficiency with social media management tools for scheduling, monitoring, and reporting., • Ability to define, track, and analyze KPIs such as reach, engagement, CTR, follower growth, and conversions to optimize social media performance., • Knowledge of SEO best practices for social media, including hashtag strategies and keyword use., • Ability to monitor social media engagement, respond to audience interactions, and foster community building., • Collaborate effectively with event teams, marketing, creative partners, and subject matter experts to ensure cohesive messaging., • Use data-driven insights to refine social media tactics and improve campaign outcomes. Communication & Creativity: • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to confidently coordinate stakeholders at all levels., • Creative, flexible, and detail-oriented in both event execution and social content creation to ensure accuracy and compliance before publishing.
