Job Description The Senior Commercial Loan Processor reports directly to and works under the supervision of the Chief Lending Officer. The Senior Commercial Loan Processor supports the full commercial lending relationship lifecycle by preparing, processing, reviewing, closing, and servicing commercial and small business loans. The role combines loan operations expertise with relationship management responsibilities, serving as a responsive point of contact for assigned members, supporting portfolio retention and growth, and coordinating customized lending, deposit, and related business banking solutions with internal partners. This position ensures loans are structured, documented, funded, serviced, and reviewed in accordance with credit approvals, credit union policy, and applicable federal and state requirements. The incumbent exercises independent judgment, partners with lending and risk personnel, assists with annual reviews and renewals, and provides timely after-sales service, including payoff, payment, and line of credit advance processing. The role delivers an exceptional member experience while protecting the credit union and supporting the quality and profitability of the commercial loan portfolio • Collaborate with all Vice Presidents of Commercial Banking to oversee preparing, processing, and reviewing commercial and small business loan documentation, ensuring efficient processing and closing., • Act as a liaison with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate timely and successful loan closings., • Review and verify collateral documents, categorize and re-index pre-closing documentation, and ensure completeness and accuracy of loan document packages., • Manage pre-closing conditions, including insurance requirements, and perform post-closing final reviews of documents., • Prepare loan funding instructions and coordinate with accounting for timely funding., • Exercise independent judgment in ordering and interpreting third-party reports, determining authorized parties for loan transactions, and managing compliance requirements., • Proactively contact borrowers to obtain necessary documentation and facilitate loan closing dates., • Serve as a primary point of contact for borrowers, maintaining strong business relationships and resolving concerns or questions., • Manage and deepen assigned commercial member relationships by maintaining regular contact, understanding each member’s business and financial needs, coordinating appropriate credit union solutions, and serving as a primary point of contact throughout the relationship lifecycle., • Assist with after-sales loan servicing requests, including preparing and processing loan payoff requests, payments, and line of credit advances; verify authorization and supporting documentation; coordinate with internal departments; and communicate status and completion to members and lending personnel., • Support annual credit reviews and loan renewals for assigned relationships by tracking due dates, requesting and organizing current financial information, reviewing files for completeness, processing review packages, updating applicable systems, and coordinating with relationship and risk officers to ensure timely completion., • Monitor assigned relationships for upcoming maturities, covenant and documentation requirements, service needs, and opportunities to retain or expand the relationship; promptly escalate credit, compliance, or member service concerns to lending leadership., • Conduct site inspections and client meetings to ensure adherence to loan agreements and terms., • Monitor and adjust daily workflow to meet operational commitments, identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions., • Manage an assigned credit application portfolio, respond to customer credit questions, and conduct independent calls on assigned relationships., • Develop new business opportunities by expanding existing client relationships and bringing new clients to the credit union., • Submit loan and credit card applications and opens Consumer and Business deposit accounts., • Participate in sales calls and identify customer needs with all Vice Presidents of Commercial Banking., • Ensure accurate monthly and pipeline reporting of commercial activities in collaboration with lending leadership., • Maintain loan files with current borrower and guarantor financial statements, tax returns, and related documents., • Other duties as assigned by Lending leadership. Experience, Education & Skills • 8+ years of similar or related experience in commercial and SBA lending, compliance, and documentation regulations., • 8+ years of similar or related experience in business banking., • A bachelor’s degree in management, accounting, finance, or related courses, completion of a specialized study at school, or extensive in-house training., • Ability to make decisions and use good judgment and ingenuity., • Technical aptitude to understand complex programs and applications., • Displays courtesy, tact, and diplomacy during personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for giving or obtaining information, building relationships, or soliciting cooperation., • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.Detail-oriented, organized, accurate, and able to adapt to change. Excellent decision-making and time-management skills., • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to troubleshoot problems and research capabilities of current or proposed products. Pay Range and Schedule: • This position is a Tier 10, with a pay rate ranging from $32.00- $40.00 per hour, • The anticipated pay rate for new hires is between the low-end and midpoint of the range, depending on experience, • The pay rates listed above are based upon the geographic location of our Administrative Offices in Modesto, CA using the greater Central Valley area for our pay range calculations, • Full Time, typically 40 hours per week, • Schedule will be based around department's hours of operation, which are as follows:, • Monday to Friday - 8am to 5pm, • Flexibility to occasionally work early or late hours, typically with advance notice
