This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a public accounting background—particularly those transitioning from audit at a mid-to-large CPA firm—who is ready to make an impact in a client-facing, fast-paced industry. What You’ll Do You’ll own the revenue accounting cycle—from contract setup through close—and serve as a trusted partner to both internal project teams and client-facing stakeholders. • Set up and maintain customer contracts in our ERP system, ensuring all terms and cost elements are accurately captured and reflected, • Perform risk assessment of contract terms to identify and communicate potential revenue and billing risks to the business, • Partner with project teams to structure contracts in alignment with revenue recognition and billing requirements, • Analyze variable consideration—including discounts, rebates, and penalties—and assess the impact on revenue recognition under ASC 606, • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue close procedures, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and management reports, • Support post-contract activities: change orders, contract modifications, and formal contract closings, • Ensure consistent adherence to company policies and internal controls throughout the contract lifecycle, • Collaborate with external auditors during year-end audit engagements and assist with audit support requests, • Review transaction activity to ensure accurate financial reporting and flag exceptions for resolution, • Build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with client-facing teams, providing guidance on process adherence What We’re Looking For The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in revenue accounting or technical accounting from public practice and is ready to apply that expertise in a corporate setting. • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a closely related field, • Strong knowledge of revenue accounting principles, with hands-on experience in contract review and revenue recognition, • Background in public accounting (audit) at a mid-to-large CPA firm is highly preferred—you’ll feel right at home here, • ASC 606 experience is a meaningful plus, • Advanced Excel proficiency (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and beyond); MS Office suite fluency, • Experience with Workday or similar enterprise ERP systems is a plus, • Exceptional attention to detail with a track record of meeting tight deadlines without sacrificing accuracy, • Clear, confident communicator—able to translate complex accounting scenarios into plain language for non-finance stakeholders, • Eligible to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship Benefits & Culture We believe great work deserves great rewards.
