Job DescriptionDescription: Position Summary The LTL Lead is responsible for end-to-end coordination of all outbound LTL shipments for the entire warehouse. This role owns the staging, system load creation, verification, and physical loading of all LTL carrier freight to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance. This position requires a highly organized, tech-savvy individual who can work independently while also providing clear direction to support staff during loading activities. Key Responsibilities • Maintain full ownership of the shared LTL staging area for the entire building, • Ensure all outbound LTL orders are:, • Properly staged, • Segregated by customer, • Ready prior to carrier arrival, • Create Load Tasks by:, • Applying the correct Receipt Number (RN) to the appropriate Entry Task (ET), • Ensuring all system data matches the physical freight being loaded, • Physically load LTL trailers using the system-created Load Tasks to ensure:, • Correct customer freight is loaded, • Accurate order consolidation, • Zero mis ship/misload risk, • Direct and coordinate forklift operators assigned to assist with LTL loading, • Capture, verify, and confirm Pro Numbers for every LTL shipment, • Understand and enforce the importance of Pro Number accuracy for:, • Billing, • Claims, • Customer tracking, • Carrier accountability, • Perform final outbound checks for:, • Load accuracy, • Trailer condition, • Seal verification (if applicable), • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized staging and loading environment, • Communicate delays, errors, or risks immediately to leadership, • Act as the single point of accountability for all outbound LTL shipping activity Requirements: • Strong technical proficiency with warehouse systems (WMS, Load Tasks, RNs, ETs), • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously, • Pro Number knowledge is required and non-negotiable, • Ability to:, • Work independently without constant supervision, • Prioritize in a fast-paced environment, • Give clear, effective direction to equipment operators, • Strong attention to detail—mistakes here = claims, chargebacks, and angry customers, • Solid written and verbal communication skills Physical & Work Environment Requirements • Ability to work on the warehouse floor for extended periods, • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed, • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and climbing on/off trailers or equipment, • Operates in a fast-paced, safety-sensitive warehouse environment Preferred Qualifications • Prior lead or trainer experience, • Forklift certification (or ability to obtain), • WMS experience in load creation and shipment validation Performance Expectations • Zero tolerance for misloads or wrong-customer freight, • All Pro Numbers captured 100% of the time, • LTL staging area always audit-ready, • Accurate Load Task creation with no RN/ET errors, • Meets all carrier cut times BENEFITS • Medical insurance, • Dental insurance, • Vision insurance, • Paid Time Off
