Job Description Overview The Staffing Coordinator perform centralized scheduling and staffing requirements for inpatient hospital nursing units and house supervisors, and tracks/maintains various staff records and logs. This position is per diem, non-exempt and benefits eligible. The pay range for this position is $29.96 - $42.30 per hour. Compensation is determined based on relevant experience and department equity. Responsibilities • Oversees and coordinates master schedules and staffing needs for the inpatient nursing units and House Supervisors., • Communicates with administration, unit managers, house supervisors, and charge nurses regarding census and acuity based staffing needs., • Contacts in-house staff and nursing registries to fill open shift requests., • Provides for family stay needs related to admissions during after-hours when a nurse manager or house supervisor is not available., • Triages house supervisor calls and refers to appropriate source in absence of a nurse manager or house supervisor., • Complies with Title XXII/OSHA/Joint Commission and SHCNC policies and procedures., • Demonstrates responsibility for ongoing personal development and growth., • Uses principles of time management and priority setting in the activity of unit staff., • Demonstrates the ability to professionally interact and communicate appropriately with staff, patients, families, and visitors. The incumbent may be required to perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned Qualifications Education: Highschool/GED - Required Experience: 1 year administrative/clerical experience - Required 1 year administrative/clerical experience in a hospital setting - Preferred
