Job Description Position Overview: The primary task is to provide oversight to staff and youth within a specialized cottage with the support of a multi-disciplinary Team. Supervisor shall carry out assigned duties and responsibilities that builds and supports a therapeutic and supportive living environment for youth who have a range of emotional, behavioral, psychiatric and addiction issues. Supervisor shall have direct responsibility in assuring their direct reports provide safe, non-threatening, creative, supportive environments with a focus on changing problem behavior, building social skills and developing positive relationships. Supervisor is responsible for working collaboratively with their assistants and Night Supervisors to assure 24/7 coverage. Oversight includes programming for youth, assurance that programs are well structured, well-resourced, home-like and meet the needs of high risk, high needs youth. Supervisors shall focus on the implementation of identified models and programs to assure consistency and the attainment of identified goals. Position Qualifications: High School diploma or GED equivalency with 2 years supervisory experience preferred in child welfare/juvenile justice OR a college degree with 1 year child welfare/juvenile justice related experience, required OR HS Diploma, some college, 5 years employment with Children’s Village, and a 3 or better within the Performance Evaluation process. Experience in running groups/workshops, required. Training/experience in substance abuse prevention, conflict/behavior management or related high risk interventions, 1 year minimum, required. Valid NYS driver’s license, preferred. Strong demonstrated work experience of leadership and supervisory skills, preferred. Experience in independent living skills development, 1 year minimum, preferred. Experience in running groups/workshops, preferred. Bi-lingual (Spanish), ideal. The Incident Management Specialist (OPWDD Certified Investigator) is responsible for assisting the Incident Management Coordinator to oversee the safety and welfare concerns of the people we support including allegations of neglect or abuse, financial exploitation and errors in care provided, as per OPWDD Part 624 and 625 regulations. Applicants for this position must be an OPWDD approved investigator with at least two years of experience conducting and completing Part 624 and Part 625 investigations. Job Description Position Overview: The Foster Parent trainer is responsible for the onboarding and facilitation of all OCFS mandated training of new foster parents for the Westchester Foster Care Recruitment program. In addition, they will provide orientation and training to prospective foster and adoptive resource parents for special arrangement in emergency situations and respite care for male and female children and youth between the ages of 0-18 years old. Job Description Reports To: Function Family Therapy-Child Welfare Coordinator Program: Function Family Therapy-Child Welfare Location: Tarrytown, NY -Hybrid/Mobile Hours Per Week: 35 hours FLSA Status: $62,000-$70,000 Summary Description: The Functional Family Therapy Child Welfare (FFT-CW) Clinician is responsible for providing FFT services to children and families involved in the child welfare system. This evidence-based practice will be conducted in the family’s home setting. The goals of this short-term intervention are to improve family functioning, improve communication, reduce conflict, decrease problem behaviors, reduce hospitalization, reduce out of home placements and delinquency, improve parenting skills, and increase effective problem-solving skills. The Clinician must have the ability to internalize, work within the FFT philosophy, and model as well as being able to adapt and individualize program intervention to utilize family strengths and skills. The Clinician must be eligible and maintain a certification as a Functional Family Therapist Clinician. Training and certification will be provided during the first year of employment. Job Description Position Overview: The clinical supervisor organizes, administers, and oversees the clinical operation of the Specialized Treatment Programs utilizing evidence based best practice models and sound clinical judgment. Individual is responsible for working closely with the Director of Specialized Treatment Programs and leadership team to ensure a safe, therapeutic environment for all youth and staff and ensures compliance with all relevant mandates. The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and developing the Clinical/Case Management staff including hiring, supervision, evaluation and scheduling. This position provides both clinical and administrative supervision of clinical staff and requires one to think globally, solve problems and have good decision-making skills, including solid critical thinking skills. To provide clinical, administrative, and case management supervision to Caseworkers, Social Workers, and Individual & Family Therapists in an inpatient sub-acute OMH-licensed psychiatric facility, Rapid Intervention Center, the residential treatment center (RTC), Rose Hard to Place Cottage, and an OCFS licensed Diagnostic program. Monitoring, tracking and making required deadlines as per NYS ACS/OMH/DSS/OCFS/CSE standards, agency policies and procedures are required. Clinical Supervisor is responsible to assure that youth/family treatment goals are being met through the services provided by Caseworkers, Social Workers, and Individual & Family Therapists. The Clinical Supervisor ensures that clinical and case management protocols related to youth in these specialized programs are implemented.
