The organization Present Help in the Time of Trouble Refuge, Inc. (Present Help), a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization dedicated to creating a nurturing and safe environment for women, children, and individuals facing various challenges has contracted with the City of Philadelphia, to provide these community home placement and supportive services for CSEC youth for the City. Job Summary In this vital role as a live-in Resource (Foster) Parent, the individual is expected to live at the foster home and be responsible for the daily operation of the community home and the general well-being of up to four CSEC youth and their care. The individual will establish a consistent daily routine to help create a sense of normalcy and predictability, which can be comforting for children who have experienced instability and may have special needs. The individual will be responsible for developing a trusting relationship with the youth, provide emotional care and support to help the youth process their trauma, work closely with social workers, therapists, and other professionals involved in youth care. The individual will facilitate access and transportation to necessary health care services, including physical, mental, and behavioral health care and ensure that youth have access to education. The individual will set clear rules and expectations and maintain the confidentiality of the youth history and experiences. This role may involve the provision of 1:1 service to a child or adolescent. Services may also be provided to integrate or reintegrate the child into normalizing settings and activities. This individual will execute the role of Special Project Coordinator in relation to the Naloxone in Black Campaign which includes data collection, resource tracking, stocking and maintaining inventory of naloxone, conducting trainings on use of Naloxone with community partners, and other associated tasks. Job Description POSITION: Program Coordinator/Mentor (SEASONAL) REPORTS TO: Program Manager POSITION SUMMARY: This position is part of a seasonal team responsible for the Urban Affairs Coalition's Summer Youth Employment and Spark Youth Engagement (SYE) program. The Summer Youth Employment program provides paid summer internships and support to youth ages 14-24 through the city of Philadelphia’s summer youth employment program. The six-week program runs from late June through mid-August and includes career exposure, on-the-job mentoring and professional development. The Spark Youth Engagement Program offers career exposure and career awareness activities for in school youth and is offered year-round. Initiatives under Spark Youth Engagement include career exposure, professional development, and mentoring with the goal of entering the workforce. The Program Coordinator/Mentor will provide direct support to the Program Manager in all aspects of the program from recruiting and enrolling placement sites to supporting the enrollment process for youth. This position requires extensive field time and travel in the Greater Philadelphia area. The Program Coordinator/Mentor will be expected to provide their own transportation via public transportation or personal vehicle. The Incarcerated to Community Crisis Intervention Program (ICCIP) of Philadelphia’s Office of Safe Neighborhoods (OSN) aims to reduce violence in correctional facilities and communities. Using a Credible Messenger model, community leaders engage individuals both in prisons and in the community. The program fosters collaboration, conflict resolution, and resource sharing between communities and facilities. ICCIP combats violence through outreach, case management, referrals, and community problem-solving. By establishing a trusted, non-law-enforcement presence, the program helps prevent and respond to violence while promoting positive community dynamics. The Deputy Director will lead the day-to-day management and strategic oversight of the ICCIP initiative, ensuring effective implementation of the program across all funded partner agencies. This includes driving the development and execution of the implementation plan, monitoring program fidelity, and ensuring alignment with established goals, objectives, and performance measures. The Deputy Director will also serve as a primary liaison between the program and key stakeholders, including City leadership, law enforcement, social service providers, and community members, to support coordinated, cross-sector collaboration and continuous improvement of program outcomes. It is important to note that the ability to be accessible during traditional and non-traditional work hours (nights and weekends) is essential to this position. The ICCIP Deputy Director reports to the CCIP Director. Essential Functions The ICCIP Deputy Director will be responsible for the oversight, development, and implementation of the, Incarcerated to Community Crisis Intervention Program (ICCIP), including, among others, the following duties: * Provide strategic oversight and leadership for all ICCIP-funded agencies, ensuring program alignment with OSN’s mission, goals, and objectives. * Develop, maintain, and manage strong partnerships with a wide range of stakeholders, including law enforcement, correctional staff, training partners community-based organizations, and social service providers. * Oversee the implementation and organizational structure of the ICCIP initiative, ensuring effective coordination across partner agencies. * Lead the development and maintenance of a clear and comprehensive implementation plan for ICCIP, ensuring adherence to contract scope, project objectives, policies, and protocols. * Monitor and align community engagement activities with OSN’s overarching violence prevention strategy. * Serve as a key liaison for all ICCIP-related contracts, ensuring compliance, coordination, and accountability. * Provide timely, accurate, and comprehensive performance reports and updates to OSN leadership. * Support and guide ICCIP provider agencies through regular performance evaluations, ongoing technical assistance, and capacity-building efforts. * Conduct needs assessments to identify community-specific violence challenges and ensure initiatives are tailored to address those needs. * Lead and evaluate training for ICCIP providers and staff, ensuring consistency, quality, and alignment with OSN standards. * Work collaboratively with program evaluators, ensuring access to timely and accurate data to support continuous improvement and assessment. * Coordinate internal and external communication strategies to clearly articulate the goals, mission, and impact of ICCIP to the community and key stakeholders. * Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment to reduce staff turnover and promote professional growth. * Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness using data analysis and performance metrics to drive strategic adjustments and improve outcomes. * Represent the City of Philadelphia and OSN at meetings, public events, and in the media, serving as a key spokesperson and advocate for the ICCIP initiative. * Build on partnerships with existing Criminal Justice Stakeholders, including but not limited to Philadelphia Municipal Court, Court of Common Pleas (Criminal Division), Family Court, Office of the Sheriff, Philadelphia Department of Adult Probation and Parole, Juvenile Probation, The District Attorney's Office, Philadelphia Police Department, and the Philadelphia Department of Prisons. * Oversee the duties of ICCIP Program Specialist(s). * Other duties assigned by CCIP Director.
