We are hiring a Research Operations Manager in our New York City office. About the Role: As a Research Operations Manager, you will manage and grow a team of researchers who use our tech platform to build impactful audiences on behalf of some of the country's most prominent companies, trade associations, nonprofits and advocacy organizations, and scale the processes they use to do their jobs. In this role, you will be a critical member of research team leadership and ensure Applecart's audiences are delivered efficiently and with the highest quality. You've previously managed a team and you're excited to bring your expertise in building and running productive teams. You are naturally curious and are excited about learning, mastering and eventually improving our research processes. You are extremely organized and proactive, pay close attention to every detail within a process, and are always looking for ways to improve and streamline your and your team's work. This role will report to the Head of Research Operations. What You'll Do: • Manage a team of researchers, including managing performance, identifying development areas, and providing training opportunities for team members, • Gain a deep understanding of our internal tech platform and architecture and ensure team knowledge as the platform evolves, • 5+ years of work experience, including 3+ years of people management experience with an early career team, • Experience assessing and managing team members' performance, as well as coaching and training on best practices, • Strong ability to proactively recognize procedural issues or inefficiencies, in order to resolve or escalate accordingly, • Demonstrated experience in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment while juggling multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, • Experience with creating efficient workflows to disperse team tasks, • Strong organizational skills with impeccable attention to detail, • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, • Proficiency in Excel Compensation: Our compensation package consists of three components: (i) a base salary, (ii) annual cash bonus, and (iii) generous equity compensation. The base salary range for this role is between $100,000-$130,000, based on the candidate's experience and skills relative to the requirements listed above. The salary range provided is exclusive of discretionary annual cash bonus and equity compensation. The salary range provided for this role is specific to candidates located in the New York City area. About the Role: As Business Development Pricing Specialist at Applecart, you will work alongside senior members of our Business Development team - who typically have 20+ years of experience at leading firms in public affairs, communications, and business development - to win new clients and grow existing relationships by supporting deal proposals throughout their lifecycle, from prospecting to close. You will be a founding member of our new BD Pricing team, and work closely with Business Development, Operations, Legal, and Finance teams to develop compelling pricing strategies and proposals for Applecart's clients. Reporting to the Business Development Operations Manager, this will be a high impact role, helping drive profitable revenue growth.
