You’re excited to foster an inclusive workplace where diversity and individual differences are valued.The Manager of Network Infrastructure and Telecommunications oversees the design, implementation, and management of Community Health System's network infrastructure and telecommunications systems, ensuring secure, reliable, and high-performing data, voice, video, and wireless services. This role is responsible for capacity and resource planning, vendor partnerships, and operational processes while guiding the network and telecom team to support organizational goals, operations, and technology initiatives. Essential Accountabilities: • Manage LAN/WAN/MAN, voice and wireless networks supporting business and clinical systems. Manage the department’s daily operations, including oversight of processes, procedures, and team performance to ensure efficient, consistent, and high-quality service delivery., • Provide strategic and operational leadership for core ITS infrastructure, including cloud, SaaS, and hybrid technologies., • Architect, design, and manage scalable, reliable, and standardized network and telecommunications infrastructure aligned with industry best practices and leveraging proactive visibility and management tools., • Lead and mentor the team of network and telecommunications engineers, analysts, and project managers in executing CHS’ IS plan., • Oversee capacity planning, lifecycle management, and modernization of on-premises and cloud-based network and telecommunications systems, positioning the infrastructure to be current, standardized, and highly available., • Lead the adoption of network automation, orchestration, and configuration management technologies to improve efficiency, maintenance, and compliance., • Collaborate across ITS and CHS departments to enhance security posture, ensure network readiness and scalability, and deliver technology solutions that meet clinical and business needs., • Collaborate with other IS leaders on information security initiatives, including segmentation, IDS/IPS, and network access control., • Facilitate cross-team communication and collaborate on continuous improvement with other teams to enhance operations and workflows., • Collaborate with other CHS departments to provide solutions that meets business and clinical requirements., • Implement IT service delivery practices based on ITIL principles for incident, service request, change, and problem management., • Oversee asset management of all networking and telecommunications equipment and software., • Manage staffing and scheduling functions to achieve department objectives, cost effective staffing and productivity targets., • Tactical and operational implementation of strategic initiatives and roadmaps set by senior leadership., • Responsible for fostering a positive, service-oriented, communicative team culture aligned with organizational mission and core values., • Developing staff members and identifying opportunities for growth., • Prepare, manage, and adhere to operating and capital budgets for the health system core wired and wireless networks and telecommunications infrastructure. Manages billing and contract negotiations with network and telecommunications vendors and resellers., • Directly responsible (with support from Human Resources) for employee engagement and people management processes including interviewing and selection, time and attendance approval, providing timely feedback and performance evaluations, employee development, employee retention, disciplinary actions, and terminations., • Expert working knowledge of industry standard network protocols, network, server and desktop operating systems, and common scripting languages., • Knowledge of telecommunications infrastructure, protocols, and call center systems., • Knowledge of standard ITIL practices for incident, service request, change, and problem management., • Knowledge of telecommunications service contracts and maintenance agreements., • Strong understanding of applicable clinical systems and industry requirements., • Demonstrated skills related to management, planning, budgeting, and quality improvement., • Excellent oral and written communication skills., • Skills to both train staff and successfully gather information needed to streamline processing., • Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills., • Ability to translate organizational goals into scalable, secure network and telecommunications solutions., • Developing, implementing, and maintaining policies and procedures., • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work, • Ability to plan, organize, and direct the work of others., • Ability to partner and collaborate with other managers, senior management, and across teams to achieve project and strategic objectives., • Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal form to patients, staff, physicians, and management staff. Qualifications Education • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field required, • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor’s DegreeExperience, • 3 years of progressive technology experience in an enterprise IT environment required, • Cisco technologies experience, • Experience working in in a larger enterprise environment in a senior network role, • Technology and IT management experience in a healthcare setting is preferred, • Demonstrated success in network architecture planning, capacity and resource management, and vendor contract oversight, with experience leading projects that support enterprise growth and technology modernization., • Proven ability to manage high-availability network environments that support 24/7 operations, ensuring system reliability, redundancy, and security in alignment with organizational and regulatory standards.
